I do not ever see a lot about these books but they are both so good. Strange Sally Diamond being both my favorite book and also one of the best books I've ever read. Both of these books are both really dark and messed up, very violently graphic but I loved them and I can't believe they aren't as popular as some of these shit books that everyone hypes up.

Melissa | 3 comments Kind of an odd answer because it is a short childrens book, but I loved My Teacher Glows in the Dark. Regardless of it being for kids, if anyone is interested in aliens I think they would still love this book. It would make a great movie. I reread it every few years, and even got my husband to read it, and he loved it too.

Maddie | 2 comments A Far Cry from Yesterday: Finding Tomorrow in Distant Lands A book about serious travel, grief, finding your way and some romantic encounters that make you want to fall in love all over the world. It is brand new, came out this month, but looks like there is no major marketing behind it. Definitely deserves more visibility!

I read this in 2022 and remember it was excellent.
Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I just read The Wedding People, which was great and voted #1 book for Goodreads Fiction, but didn’t connect that it was the same author. This book was darker and deeper, but also a really good read.

Many excellent books don’t get the recognition they deserve. It is hard to get a book published and then promoted. So, always look for new authors and ones that may be undervalued. Often, I find the best books that way.

I just looked up Strange Sally Diamond and it does sound good. It seems maybe overseas (I live in US) was popular. Thanks for mentioning it, I am adding it to my TBR.

Have you promote your book in any way?"

King~ I know a few authors and it is a tough business. People think some popular authors just got well known overnight. That is rarely the case. Most write and even if can get their books published, get little money or acclaim. Most books that are well received have gotten picked up by a major publishing house. Then the author must do Social Media, Tours, and Shows to Promote the book. It is interesting, learning all that goes into a book, but it’s hard work. There are smaller publishers or some self publish. Books are put on NetGalley or promoted on-line, but hard to get a big following that way. Really admire authors, well I am on Goodreads so imagine most here do.

This isn’t a site for Promotion or Spam. This should not be here.

DJ | 15 comments Uncle Tom The President and Insanity Is Hereditary you get it from "Your Children." They are both uniquely insightful and exhibit a refreshingly innovative and unorthodox writing style.

Rebecca | 1 comments The Frozen River. It is a historical drama centered around a town in a time where finding justice was a struggle. It is rare that I fall in love with the characters, I enjoy them but not love them. The female lead is tough with an adoring husband, just true relationship goals. I couldn’t help myself but get invested with the many characters in this story. I loved this book.

Jasmine | 4 comments I just finished a psychological thriller that's packed with twists you definitely won't see coming. I even dropped a part of it on YouTube—and it's already racked up millions of views! If you're up for a read and want to share your thoughts, I'd love to send you a copy.

ReadingMom | 2 comments In the Lake of the Woods by Tim O'Brien

Lots of people are familiar with Tim Obrien's The Things They Carried, but In The Lake of the Woods is small, disturbing book. A man who has just lost an election and trying to cope and recover in Lake of the Woods Minnesota with his wife. Its a powerhouse story of war, war crimes, truth and lies and the legacy of guilt.
