For the reverse, I wonder if we can move Princess in Love from #3 in Hand Four. I've read the book. I feel like 3 is easier to fill and I can quickly read something once I finish my current book.

ETA - The book I just read, A Death in Diamonds, fits 3. I've put it against 4 in the last hand for now.

Good idea. I put it in the reverse slot. We can keep the three open for now if we'd like - see if anyone can read a book for it before Thursday. I think it might be easier to get than a 4, but we'll see what happens!

I was able to move around one for the Secret Slave and Winter Garden - hooray!

ETA: if anyone has read hounded, then it can also work for a reverse. And I can switch grave mercy (currently a reverse) for a 5 (CFN Ismae).

I updated our spreadsheet to show the things we're looking for in March. You can start a book now that you think you will finish in March. It just can't be started before February 1, when the challenge started.

Hi, I’m sorry I haven’t been participating! I’ve been so swamped at work and then I’m so indecisive on what to read that I just end up not reading anything at all. All I’ve managed for this month is a little graphic novel but I am currently reading Tress of the Emerald Sea.

I don’t think it fits 9 Green (at least I haven’t encountered something that fits) but I do believe it fits a 2 Green and the one that is on 2 Green can be swapped with 9 Green. If I don’t finish it though, I’ll try to finish it in March and it will probably fit for it then and maybe read some more. I’m sorry I haven’t been reading so much.

I found a quick reread for 9 Green - The Willow Marsh Murder. Added it to the Feb tab. I can find a spot for it in the mini tab if we need it. Sounds like we have 6 full hands already? Do we not get points for the mini after 6 complete hands?

All set - we had two in the overflow - most excellent! I put in Streets of Loredo because it was the first one I noticed.

I have a bunch of books on there, but I swear I'll finish them! I have school vacation this week, and I'm doing a bunch of cleaning :)

im Up to my Eyeballs i have never had a winter like this... since 20th of Jan one of my kids has been off school ill, one goes back then the other catches it and is home..... i think i have had about 5 days to myslef in the last month...... its been absoloutely nuts.... Now they are both better and going to school tommorow Friday there is strikes and Monday is a bank holiday.....

It has been a crazy year for sicknesses!! Half my class was out one day! And then the next few days, they all switched, and the other half was out!

yea me too - i Hate being Away from my kids more than a day but schools here in Greece are 8.15 - 1.15 so its only a few hours away but its when i clean cook and audiobook without - snacks an schoolwork and whinging lol

Question on hounded - if I can’t use it in March, what is the point of overflow books? I probably misunderstood the intent. I assumed those are books we’ve read since the start of the challenge but didn’t get a chance to use in the current month.

Ugh, yes, the overflow books are just for the month they are finished in. I've used a few when I've had to shift books around, or someone couldn't finish one in time. They are important! However, we will need to ditch them at the end of the month.

Slewfoot has non human characters, a lot of them, they are the wildfolk characters that bring Slewfoot back to life and they hate Abitha and are trying to save their "father" there are three main ones and 1 or 2 of them narrated passages

I finished a book last night that has an alien MC I can't access spreadsheets from work, so I haven't added it yet.
