Aiswrya | 95 comments Also Melissa, should we use your murder in moscow book for a wild draw 4 instead? Blue skip maybe?

Definitely blue

Melissa | 597 comments Good call on my book counting for a blue skip / wild draw 4

For the wild draw 4 / blue 3, we can only use one of them :(
You can only use one wild draw 4 per color card.

Super fun when there's seven of them!!

If Elli or Aiswrya can / wants to move their Draw 4 blue to the skip one, that works for me too.

Elli | 177 comments Is there a limit to the number of times a Coloured card can be duplicated?

If each Coloured card can only be duplicated once, I can change mine to a Blue Skip :)

message 206: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 597 comments Yes! Each colored card can only be duplicated once

Melissa | 597 comments What are you starting the month reading?

I'm starting with Ms. Adventure My Wild Explorations in Science, Lava, and Life by Jess Phoenix It's meh, but I've had it on my shelf for a blue skip for years!

I'm hoping to get Tanya French's The Searcher by Tana French out for a green 4, but there's a line at the library. I've never read anything by her, and I hear she is really good!

Snowing here. So much snow....

Elli | 177 comments I just finished with Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry & hoping to finish Big Fish Daniel Wallace by Daniel Wallace by tomorrow.

Didn't plan to re-read the Harry Potter series (again!) but I just sent my entire series over to my 7 year old nephew at his parents' request. I think we might have another HP fan in the family soon! *snicker*

So I'd better refresh my memory. Decided to skip the first 3 books in the series & go on to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4) by J.K. Rowling .

Aiswrya | 95 comments I’ve been struggling to finish What Angels Fear. I don’t know what it is about this book that’s making it so hard to read . The story is interesting enough, but maybe the pacing is off, or the tone of writing. I hit 50% yesterday. Going to force myself to finish it today 🤞

message 213: by Ilsen (new)

Ilsen | 161 comments Hi, I swear I’m still here and reading the chat. February was a very busy month for work and the only books I finished was one that I had started before the challenge and a graphic novel. So I wasn’t able to do anything for February and I am very sorry.

However, I am still currently reading Tress of the Emerald Sea and I hope to finish it by March! It should fit a 4 Green and for sure, this time I will actually claim it and finish it. I hope I can contribute this month!

I finally finished it! Did you ever read book 2 in the series? I’m wondering if I should give the series the benefit of a doubt, and give book 2 a try.

I put it in for a 2. When you get better, you can move it around if it fits somewhere else.

Aiswrya | 95 comments Brittany, would it be okay to move the surrogate mother to a 4 in another hand? I have a book that I can use for the Draw 2 in the current hand and it would fit a 9 and 4.

Brittany McCann (brittanylmccann) | 195 comments Move any of my books to anywhere. I just pop them in the first number that is open that they fit. I don't ever mind. Just reading for the best options for the team!

message 233: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 597 comments Hello team!!
How is everyone doing?
Our snow has turned to rain, and then snow again here. My classroom flooded, so that's fun (not). I'm getting back into the game though!

We have 27 out of 105 books read. Good work! That's about 1/4, which is about where we are at.

We have some colors to claim:
red skip
4 yellow
5 yellow
1 red
green skip
5 green

We have some reverses, 8s, 5s, and Wild Draw 4s to keep an eye out for too.

The captains have just learned about our second mini. We are reviewing it and making sure it makes sense (enough) to put out there! Get psyched!

Any good books to report?

Oh! It kinda passed - 2 out of 3 people said it was red enough.
But no worries - don't read it if it's not worth it! We're not that desperate yet :)

I know that they throw some more oddballs in the second round - like Wild Draw 4s, so I bet the colored skips are new too.
