Muhammad Zaryab | 3 comments Why did he always bully Severus Snape?

Sophie Foster | 42 comments It was probably bcs he was jealous about Lily

CA | 32 comments @Sophie was right. James was jealous, but he was also just spoiled and naturally arrogant.

Daisy Hope | 16 comments James was selfish and full of himself. I pushed people around because he thought he was better than them. I agree with Harry. If I was his child I would want to be nothing like him.

Zoi | 52 comments As a kid he was those things to Snape, his Malfoy. I don’t know that there is any reason to think he was that way to everyone, and certainly not as an adult. Don’t you think Dumbledore would’ve had something to say about it, if he was? Dumbledore was close to the Potters. Would he have been if James was really that much of a jerk, especially as an adult?

Harry gets pretty fixated on Malloy as well from time to time. Septum Sempra anyone? Harry is more sensitive than James, of course, but that has a great deal to do with how he grew up. James only ever knew love, security and privilege.

emma 🇵🇸 | 19 comments James was an annoying teenager but you’ve got to look past that. It wasn’t right for him to bully Snape but Snape didn’t help the cause either; constantly provoking the marauders.

Zoi | 52 comments Following them around spying on them like Malfoy did with Harry and Co.

black like padfoot | 16 comments I know James could be horrible at times, like how he treated Severus (although he wasn't blameless either). But I love marauders with all my heart, and I can't help but like James.
