Zoomed through this this morning, and enjoyed it well enough... glad I gave the series a 2nd try, and don't take it too seriously...

More of the same, from the first book, with some new famous characters and demonic characters and antics...

I read this today and I agree with Iain about all the things - not serious, quick, fun read, the random historical characters are fun, I liked it :)

Read it today also. It has a lot in common with book one, but I think I enjoyed this more. The female objectification parts are still the ones I have the most difficulty with, though, again, I feel like I can understand why they are the way they are. But maybe not why the author felt the need to include them. (view spoiler)[I liked the fun gimmick of "it'll be a cold day in Hell when..." being almost like magic. Is it weird, that I can't say I've heard that phrase? Just "When Hell freezes over."

Boo is still my favorite, and I wish there was more of him. But Sutur's grandson was a decent stand-in, and I really enjoyed the large cast of cameos--this time from Greek, Roman, and Norse mythology.

I also find myself somewhat outraged for Steve's sake, that his damnation was decided by a coin toss. That just sucks. (hide spoiler)]

Overall, a good read for grading day.
