Ray | 2 comments I just finished reading it yesterday and I am not a fan at all. I wrote this long review about it which I feel doesn’t articulate my feelings towards the book enough

message 2: by Manda (new)

Manda Breeden | 4 comments I bought it yesterday I plan to start it this weekend

message 3: by Bekah Jazmine (new)

Bekah Jazmine | 1 comments I liked it at first. But to me the ending was so stupid. She ended up with the guy that’s the worst possible option. So I gave up and didn’t read that part that’s like 5 years later.

message 4: by Helena (new)

Helena T. S. | 1 comments I had to chance their ages in my mind otherwise it just felt icky...

Michelle (pnwbooklover) | 7 comments I liked it because it felt like trashy reality tv.

message 6: by Farnaz (new)

Farnaz (farnaz_n) | 1 comments I've read it two month ago. Not a fan.
Not a bad start but really terrible ending. I didn't like who she ended up with, especially not after how she was going throughout the story.

message 7: by Ray (Richelle) (new)

Ray (Richelle) Valhalla | 1 comments I don't know what this says about me but I actually did enjoy that book, but I do enjoy why choose/taboo books to begin with

message 8: by Anthony (new)

Anthony Brooks (asbrooks88) "Credence" by Penelope Douglas is a polarizing book—some readers love it for its dark, unconventional romance and emotional depth, while others find the themes uncomfortable or problematic. If you're looking for opinions, you’ll find a mix of passionate fans who appreciate the unique storyline and critics who feel the relationships are too intense or unsettling.

message 9: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Freitas (bookishsirensong) | 4 comments I just bought it and have it on my TBR. I've definitely heard mixed reviews and people either love or hate it passionately. I read the description a very long time ago, so I'm pretty much going into it blind.

message 10: by Nik (new)

Nik Vesely✨ | 5 comments Yes. I LOVE it. But fyi, your friends might pick on you because it's somewhat incest, but I don't think it's incest.

message 11: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Farley | 6 comments I haven't read it, but my friend said she liked it.

message 12: by Marie-Anne (new)

Marie-Anne (mamaowlandherbooks) | 4 comments I have read it and I really enjoyed it! The more “wrong” it is and the more trigger warnings the better for me… why? I have no idea… but yeah this one got 5 stars from me!

message 13: by Fatimah. (new)

Fatimah. | 1 comments I read and I didn't liked it . The fl is irritating tho

message 14: by Hana (new)

Hana Hana | 1 comments I read it completely blind and bro I was traumatized. Mouth agape, jaw to the floor terrified. 😭

message 15: by Aadil (new)

Aadil | 13 comments last I read "a smile of betrayal - a novel" it's really fantastic

message 18: by Death_by_my_TBR (new)

Death_by_my_TBR | 13 comments My friends have read it and they enjoyed it but it was a DNF for me. I am just not a penolope douglas fan.

message 19: by Arielle (new)

Arielle (ariellereadsbookss) | 8 comments Yes I did enjoy it (audiobook version) but hated reading five brothers. I felt like five brothers was stunt doubling credence.

message 20: by --Keres-- (new)

--Keres-- | 5 comments It was ok, but if people didn't stop talking about it, I would probably forget about it. I find most of PD stuff just ok, nothing great but not terrible. 🤷‍♀️

message 21: by Giovana (new)

Giovana Santini | 1 comments I really liked it! I always enjoy the age gap trope

message 22: by Athina (new)

Athina | 1 comments It wasn’t for me…found it super problematic 🤷🏻‍♀️

Caltesines | 2 comments I didn't read the book, but I read the reviews and... nope.

message 24: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Freitas (bookishsirensong) | 4 comments I LOVED it! It was such a moody vibe similar-ish to Flock.

message 25: by Rubi Chanel (new)

Rubi Chanel | 1 comments It was a 5-star read for me. It's so much more than people make it out to be.
