Samantha | 6 comments How did everyone like this series? Personally, I thought the third book in the series left me wanting more explanations but I still LOVED reading all three. Also did anyone read Caraval after reading this series? I read it before but I think it might be interesting to read again.
Let me know your thoughts! (especially anything about Jacks because he's my fav lol)

Kie (kie06) | 170 comments I absolutely adored the series, but I agree that the 3rd book felt different than the first two, and maybe a bit rushed. Either way, I loved the outcome.
As for more missing information, I believe the author is going to write more books based in the same world, so any questions might be answered in those.
I read Caraval before OUABH, and don’t remember much of it.
AND JACKS YES HES THE BEST 💓💓

Gaurii ౨ৎ | 35 comments omg this is my favv romantasy book series ever and Jacks is my favourite book bf. I feel like book three had a very sudden ending coz like one seocn apollo is sacrificing Evangaline and the next she and jacks have their hea but its still my favourite book ever and did i mention I LOVE JACKS. I read caraval after and honestly it doesn't really make much of a difference.

Gaurii ౨ৎ | 35 comments The author has a new mystery book coming out so i don't think were getting a new book from that same world any time soon 🥺

I'm disappointed with the third book. Nothing was resolved by the end of the book I was “ok but what happened to LaLa, Aurora, Luc, Apollon's brother or Evangeline's sister?”. The author said that the last volume was the most complicated to write, so that explains it.

arileso | 21 comments I loved it soo much, I loved how Garber gave Chaos and Lala some chemistry so that she can come back and write a book for them. Evangeline is one of my favorite fmcs ever, she is so kind and strong. We need more fmcs like her.

dyanna ୨୧ | 125 comments I absolutely loved the OUABH trilogy, second book was my favorite, but I agree the third felt kinda rushed and just a little all over the place to give us a happy ending. I did read caraval after ouabh cause I didn't know it was a spin off LOL didn't love it as much tho :( loved the first book then lost interest by the second and third

AJ | 11 comments Can’t lie, I was really disappointed by this series (you can read my very angry and not kind review on the first book of the series). I was expecting a lot more than what booktok had marketed to me, but I think had I gone into it with fewer expectations I would have liked it more. (I also genuinely liked The Ballad of Never After a lot - the book was easier to follow and the ending was genuinely moving).

I will say that I read Caraval, Legendary, and Finale after reading OUABH and actually liked those more. Caraval was my favorite out of all of the books which made the entire series hard to read, but I, overall, enjoyed it. I am considering rereading the entire series (both trilogies) next year as part of my “rereadathon” just to see if I like it more after a second read (it’s really confusing and hard to understand for the first read in my opinion just because of all the different components and concepts that are lumped into one story).

I do think that had I read Caraval and then OUABH I would have liked the latter a bit more. This being said, I just feel like some authors do not plan/consider their entire storylines or endings when writing a book series and I think Garber is one of those people which makes some of the stories hard to follow and grasp. (It is also what causes rushed endings such as in A Curse for True Love and crazy additions to lore in Finale).

Overall though, the concepts were beautiful and brilliant. (i just wished they were executed better)
