Read in Germany in the late 2000s I believe, but I can't remember the language (English or German). There is a side-character called 'Ruth' in the book which would point to it being a translation from English.
The story was about a girl with divorced parents. She has a younger sister with down-syndrome, they both live with her mother and sometimes visit the father and his new girlfriend, who I believe was described as rich.
Her first boyfriend kills himself, I believe by drowning.
Her second boyfriend dies after being shoved by a boy, who I believe was called Paul.
At first the girl sends that boy 'hate-calls' in the middle of the night, sometime later he becomes her boyfriend. When he finds out it was her behind the calls he leaves her. I forgot what happens after that.
