The cover is honestly so pretty!!! Can’t wait to start it, work & life has been treating me like a rag doll (slightly kidding lol)

and wow, she doesn't even seem like the person who killed her "friends" is not her - because she seems more than willing to do it again! yikes

but I am noticing that the 'friends' didn't seem to see her as a friend but more as a kid sister who followed them around - or that was the feeling I got from that interaction when she brought towels. I was starting to wonder if the friendship was all in her head but the parents seem to think they were all friends

I wonder who this Luce is.
can she really still be alive and have survived for a whole year in the forest and still be wearing the same one outfit? hmmmm. was someone helping her hide?

and wow, it really does sound like not only do her parents know but that they maybe helped protect her. like maybe they got rid of bloody clothes or the rock she struck her with?

but someone has to have found Luce and been helping her get healthy. she's able to hike and move around without being weak. definitely signs she's been well fed and strong enough to keep her muscles going.

and Nan's storytelling still makes it sound like she was always on the outskirts of this group, inviting herself in. how did she not know Jane had taught her to do braids if they spent all these summers together? Something is off here (hide spoiler)]

and then other kids?!!! Who does that?

but Nan still seems like she was on the outside looking in. I can't figure out why the parents all thought they were friends. they just invited her that night, it sounds like, because she could get the keys. . .

Interesting start so far… it seems as if there’s NO remorse, only cares about if she’s caught. I do wonder what her mom was referring to?? Something with her dad, maybe gambling? Or you’re right maybe she does know?

Definitely seems like a friend that just tags along or the “odd duckling”

Flight on the way was rough with little ones kicking the back seat :)) but already on the flight back with WiFi & SO much better
