1. Happy April Birthday!
Read a book:
❇️ published in April
❇️ with white on the cover in honor of April's birthstone, the Diamond

2. April Month-Long Observance ❱❱ Mathematics and Statistics Awareness Month ❱❱ Since its origin in 1986, the goal is to increase the level of interest, appreciation, and understanding of mathematics and statistics.
Read a book:
❇️ with a character who studies, teaches, or works in a STEM related field

3. Featured Author Challenge (FAC) author ❱❱ Suzanne Enoch
Read a book:
❇️ written by Suzanne Enoch, or any author with her first or last name. Links to backlist: https://www.goodreads.com/author/list...

Fun Facts about: Suzanne Enoch
❱❱ born in Southern California and always knew she wanted to write
❱❱ her first love is Regency romance but has also written several contemporary novels
❱❱ she is known for her humorous characters, sexy bad boys, and whip-sharp, witty dialogue
❱❱ she loves all things Star Wars
Read a book:
❇️ that is historical romance or set in England
❇️ that is science fiction or science fiction romance
❇️ with a humorous/witty character or one considered to be a 'bad boy'

4. National Frog Month ❱❱ Many people are unaware that frogs represent transition — moving from one stage of life to the next. They serve as excellent reminders of adaptability and the ability to move on from any situation, place, or thing. Aside from what they represent, the importance of frogs in our ecosystem is highlighted this month. Fish, mammals, and birds consume them as food, while carnivorous frogs feed on mosquitoes and flies, contributing to the food chain cycle.
Read a book:
❇️ where a character goes through some type of transition (your interpretation)
❇️ that has any kind of animal on the cover
❇️ with a mostly green cover

5. National Karaoke Week ❱❱ Week 4 ❱❱ National Karaoke Week is a time to encourage amateur singers to show off their talents and enjoy the fun of singing along to music. Taking its roots in small nightclubs in Japan, karaoke has grown extremely popular in many other countries. So much so that the global karaoke market is currently worth billions of dollars, and annual events like Karaoke World Championships and National Karaoke Week are a thing.
Read a book:
❇️ that features someone singing (even in the shower!) or listening to music
❇️ set in Japan or with a character or author of Asian descent
❇️ with a person smiling on the cover - because karaoke makes you happy!

6. Find a Rainbow Day ❱❱ April 3 ❱❱ The month of April brings spring showers. After those showers, the sun comes out and a rainbow often appears. And, if you are really lucky, you may see an uncommon double one. A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon. A rainbow is bent, refracted white light, forming all the colors of the light spectrum. Water particles in the air act as a prism to bend light, forming a rainbow.
Read a book:
❇️ featuring a rain shower or other weather event
❇️ that starts with a letter in RAINBOW
❇️ with a multicolor (4 or more) cover - bonus if you find a rainbow on the cover

7. National Siblings Day ❱❱ April 10 ❱❱ A day to appreciate and cherish your brothers and sisters. This includes stepsiblings and adopted siblings as well. Siblings are truly a special blessing that we probably all too often take for granted. They are often our best friends and supporters throughout life.
Read a book:
❇️ featuring a character with siblings or siblings of the heart
❇️ with 2 or more main characters
❇️ with at least 2 people on the cover

8. National Orchid Day ❱❱ April 16 ❱❱ Orchids are one of the most popular flowers of all. These beautiful flowers are native to almost all parts of the world except Antarctica. Scientists speculate that because this flower is native to most parts of the world, the flowers have been around since before the continents separated from each other. If true, they’ve been around for millions of years. Humans have cultivated them for thousands of years, even before Confucius was born (552 B.C.).
Read a book:
❇️ featuring a character who likes to garden or has plants indoors
❇️ with 5 or 2 in the page count or publish date
❇️ with any kind of flower on the cover

9. International Astronomy Day ❱❱ April 28 ❱❱ Grab your telescope, look for a dark place and pray for no clouds, as Astronomy Day is upon us. Tonight is a time to look up to the stars. This day was established to promote astronomy to the general public. Astronomy clubs and groups use this day and night to help teach people about the stars, and other celestial bodies in the universe. These groups take advantage of this day to offer people a view of the stars through a telescope, if possible.
Read a book:
❇️ featuring a character who reaches for the stars (your interpretation)
❇️ with either author initial (first, middle or last) in TELESCOPE
❇️ with stars on the cover

10. Reader's Choice
❇️ Read any book of your choice!

Completed: 10/10

1. Happy April Birthday!
Read a book:

❇️ published in April Dead as a Doornail - Charlaine Harris 4/4/25 (published on April 25, 2006)

❇️ with a character who studies, teaches, or works in a STEM related field The Engineer's Wife - Tracey Enerson Wood 4/27/25

❇️ that is historical romance or set in England The Rose Bargain - Sasha Peyton Smith 4/4/25

❇️ where a character goes through some type of transition (your interpretation) Gap Creek - Robert Morgan 4/1/25

❇️ set in Japan or with a character or author of Asian descent Sweet Bean Paste - Durian Sukegawa 4/15/25

❇️ that starts with a letter in RAINBOW Real Love - Alexandria House 4/3/25
❇️ with a multicolor (4 or more) cover - bonus if you find a rainbow on the cover

7. National Siblings Day ❱❱ April 10 ❱❱ A day to appreciate and cherish your brothers and sisters. This includes stepsiblings and adopted siblings as well. Siblings are truly a special blessing that we probably all too often take for granted. They are often our best friends and supporters throughout life.
Read a book:

❇️ featuring a character with siblings or siblings of the heart
❇️ with 2 or more main characters Made to Love - Alexandria House 4/2/25

❇️ with 5 or 2 in the page count or publish date Higher Love - Alexandria House 4/2/25 (205 pgs.)

❇️ with either author initial (first, middle or last) in TELESCOPE Private Sydney - James Patterson 4/2/25
❇️ with stars on the cover

10. Reader's Choice
❇️ Read any book of your choice! The Russian - James Patterson 4/3/25

❇️ that is historical romance or set in England
The Warrior's Bride Alliance - Denise Lynn (HH #1848 - Mar 2025) (historical) - Apr 3

The Summer That Shaped Us - Lori Wilde (HarperCollins - Apr 2025) - Apr 28

Montana Memory - Josie Jade (Calamitte Jane Pub - Apr 2025) - Apr 17

Renegade Reunion - Addison Fox (HRS #2320 - Apr 2025) (snowstorm) - Apr 6
❇️ that starts with a letter in RAINBOW
❇️ with a multicolor (4 or more) cover - bonus if you find a rainbow on the cover

7. National Siblings Day ❱❱ April 10 ❱❱ A day to appreciate and cherish your brothers and sisters. This includes stepsiblings and adopted siblings as well. Siblings are truly a special blessing that we probably all too often take for granted. They are often our best friends and supporters throughout life.
Read a book:
❇️ featuring a character with siblings or siblings of the heart
Pretending to Love a Lyon - Dayna Quince (Dragonblade - Apr 2025) - Apr 23

The Heiress's Daughter - Anne Gracie (Berkley - May 2024) - Apr 25

❇️ set in Japan or with a character or author of Asian descent Sweet Bean Paste - Durian Sukegawa 4/15/25

These groups take advantage of this day to offer people a view of the stars through a telescope, if possible.
