Reading a classic can sometimes be difficult. Especially if you’re not used to the writing or structure of classical books.
Although I tend to prefer reading the book first, I know for some watching an adaptation of the story can sometimes make the book more enjoyable or accessible. So if you are a little nervous about trying to read The Secret Garden, that could be a great place to start.

I’m not sure which or how many adaptations exist for The Secret Garden but if anyone has any preference or adaptation recommendations for people to start with, please comment them below, that would be much appreciated :)

Michelle (michellecales) | 2 comments I know one very old black and white one . And a PBS version that might be hard to find. But the most visually appealing one that keeps close to the book is The France’s Ford Coppella one that came out in the 90’s Maggie Smith who was in Harry Potter played Mrs. Medlock . I have read the book tons of times growing up and watched the movies as a rainy day activity as well. I have tons of useless book and movie knowledge . As it applies I can share it if you like.

Thank you so much for the recommendations Michelle! That sounds like an amazing watch, I noticed the 90s film is was on Netflix so I'll watch it once I'm finished with the book :)
