An anthology of stories examining various aspects of First Contact situations, edited by Damon Knight & released in 1971. Knight compiled these stories in honor of Murray Leinster, an important early pulp SF writer. Leinster's novella "First Contact" is an early example of the sub-genre & is recognized as the first story to feature a universal translator.
