I’m a newbie reader and have read a few books. I came to realize I think I prefer first person POVs.

I think I like that it makes it more “personal” or I guess because I know what/how the person is feeling or thinking. Like I’m inside the person’s mind (… well, duhh)… if that makes any sense??? lol

I completely agree. Third person sometimes feels far in some way. But if it is well written and shows the characters’ depth it’s fine. On the other hand, first person can easily feel boring if not well written. So ig that really depends

And yes, when I’m reading a third person POV, it really feels like I’m far away! Like I’m watching from a movie theatre sitting way back.

When I’m reading a first person POV, it feels like I’m right there in the scene with the characters lol

I enjoy reading first person POVs but I enjoy HIS POV more than hers🫠🤍

I like first person POV but also dual POV

I agree that the first person is more personal, third person feels like a narrator for a fairytale or something.
