I'd say that I hadn't forgotten about this challenge, but I'd be lying 😅😂 But better late than never. Lol. This time, because we were ALL struggling, I kept the cover prompts down to ONE. And it's a fairly easy one. Lol.

How to play:
1. Roll a single die (it can be a real one or a virtual one—all you have to do is google ‘roll die’).
2. Move to the square you landed on and complete the challenge.
3. After it's completed (it doesn’t have to be done all in one sitting), roll again and complete the next challenge, and so on and so forth.
4. If you land on a square that has a challenge AND a ‘Jump Ahead’ or ‘Roll Again,’ complete the challenge FIRST before moving on.
5. The goal is, of course, to reach the END. You will have won the game after the final challenge is complete.
6. If there is a square you land on that you know with absolute certainty that you will not be able to fulfill, feel free to roll again (e.g. you land on a genre you don't read, such as horror). This is meant to be fun!

Two ways to play:
1. Easy version: In order for the challenge to be considered complete, you must read at least HALF the book where applicable.
2. Hard version: In order for the challenge to be considered complete, you must finish the WHOLE book where applicable.

Have fun and happy reading! 😊

message 8: by Gord (new)

Gord | 1001 comments Alright, I need a judgement call. For "set in space/other planet" can it just be a fantasy world? I'm reading one where it opens by saying that whatever this place is it has six different moons. Clearly not Earth and nothing near Earth

I'm going to give Lili a couple days to give an opinion.

Is it a sci-fi kind of fantasy?

Sorry guys, I've been out of town 😅 Gord, when I wrote that I was thinking sci-fi, but honestly, I feel like your book fits it fine. It's definitely on a planet that is not Earth.

No problem Lili! I just figured I'd give you a chance to answer :)
Hope you were out of town for something enjoyable!

Just did my update, went really well! I'm just passed halfway!

message 16: by Gord (new)

Gord | 1001 comments Thanks Lili, I was thinking sci-fi as well but when the book opened with a description of all the moons it got me thinking.

message 17: by Gord (new)

Gord | 1001 comments Alright, I just have to chuckle. I go from a harder one, just because it doesn't fit anything I'm reading, to "read an Asian author/MC". I'm looking at this giant stack of manga I need to read and I think I've got this one.

Got to the prompt 'Read 300 pages' I'm assuming it's fine if the book is longer than that, I just have to get to the 300 page mark?

My favorite genre is dystopian but I usually like to take breaks in between because.. it's depressing for me. But also sooo good. lol Anyways... May has been intense. Crossing my fingers I finally get a break.

Finished! I got stuck in a keep reading fantasy books loop. Having favourite genre and same genre as last book that close together was kinda mean :P
