It was a dark and stormy night ...
After all, this is April , the month of fun and of pranks

However, I can promise that if someone started off an idea, I'd contribute to it, no problem.
Which just gave me an idea - it might have to be one of those 'own adventure' books, where depending on decision you the reader make during reading it, you follow a different denouement to an ending than someone else might. I read one that was a hoot - it had classic ending representing different genres: bodice ripper romance, murder mystery, gothic horror, etc. I found it a lot of fun and quite amusing - others who read and reviewed it did not.

Not really. The genre is called 'interactive'. I saw a reference to that genre recently but of course did not read the article.

The Hate vs. Love debate on Wolf Hall would need its own chapter.

😄
Amy! you are right.

But I like Holly's memoir proposal best. I'd be happy to contribute to a chapter called ' How it all began: the Shelfari years." The book would also need an extensive index of every title on the PBT bookshelf. That would probably spawn another book called,
PBT Titles to Read Before You Die.

Agreed! I loathed that book so much I couldn't finish it even while others love it.

Bring Up the Bodies was much better. It took place over a short time, was mostly straightforward and her editor apparently made her change her style, because she wrote, "he, Thomas" or whatever.
I bought the 3rd volume several years ago and haven't steeled myself to read it yet.

I can say that if you enjoy audiobooks, that is the way to go with this series. Ben Miles does a fabulous job!

I've read a few "choose your own adventure" books. Mostly apocalypse based......see if reading all the other ones means I can now make choices which don't get me killed. Some are really good fun, some are insane and some you die with every possible option, so they seem a bit pointless. I happen to have Can You Survive the Zombie Apocalypse? on my physical TBR pile so perhaps this is the month to read it?
Give any other relevant details you think would be important to mention.
