Nina Grove | 7 comments Hi there,

I am a full-time freelance literary editor with fifteen years of experience in fiction editing. Unputdownable is a guide to storytelling and self-editing for authors. It was originally published in my native Norway in 2022 and has sold about 1500 copies so far. This is my English translation and I am looking for reviewers who might be interested in the topic.

The book is frequently used for writing courses in Norway and is popular with traditionally– and self-published authors alike. In addition, I have had positive feedback from screenwriters, playwrights, journalists as well as other writing professionals.

Unputdownable is different (hopefully) in that it is simple and not at all academic. It is based simply on my editing practices. It contains illustrations, examples, and exercises. It will not make you a bestseller or win you awards but my goal is for authors to be able to steer clear of typical pitfalls and get more out of their labour. Anyone who might be interested?

All the best,
Nina

Most definitely, Amelia, thanks for getting in touch! Editing is the best job in the world 😃 I know they use my book on several courses for editors here in Norway. It's an easy read too. I wrote it because I saw authors kept making the same mistakes. It's more practical than theoretical so should be a good match for you – even if you have a fair bit of knowledge on some of the topics already. Let me know! 😊

Nina Grove | 7 comments Lovely, Amelia! I will order you a hard copy if you like. The ebook is not yet ready, but coming this week if you prefer that. I have never done this before. Do I just take your address or email address or is there some other clever way? I recommend a hard copy if you like those best, it's got a lot of illustrations and some charts and things. Also edges for notes. 😃

Amelia (ameliareads247) | 16 comments Nina, I typically prefer ebooks for quick reading, but in this case I think you're right that a hard copy would be best for referencing! I'll see if I can send you a message through GR. 😊
