Cassie (cassiereadsfantasy) | 7 comments Does anyone have any book recs for standalones? Sometimes I don't feel like committing to a series and would love just to read a fantasy standalone that's a quick and good read

Shadow girlie (Aelin’s version) | 24 comments You can try To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo. It’s a standalone YA book about sirens and pirates. I love it!

I've read it and liked it! Do you know of any books that are similar that are standalones?

Tahls | 8 comments The Priory of the Orange Tree (high fantasy with dragons and extremely subtle romance subplot) it is part of a series, but there are only a few books and they're standalones centuries apart

Slaying the Vampire Conqueror

both top reads for me!

I read Priory of the Orange Tree a few years ago, but I found it really long and had difficulty getting through it and staying interested. Should I maybe try again? Or would it be better to read another book in the series (if there's one thats shorter or a bit easier to follow)?

K R | 2 comments it's a standalone but it's quite lenghty if you're looking for that, it's my fav fantasy book :D!
El and the Eternal Stones: What is Evil in a World that is All Good?

message 16: by peyton (new)

peyton | 23 comments I mean it’s standalone because it’s the first book but The Wind Weaver (Julie Johnson) was really good and so was Broken Souls and Bones (LJ Andrew’s)

Liesel | 38 comments Circe is a fantasy novel. It's a mythological retelling :)

message 20: by M.R. (new)

M.R. M.R. (mistermr) | 8 comments No, Lisel, it is not about mythology—it's a purely unique dark modern-age fantasy.

M.R. M.R. (mistermr) | 8 comments And to the group leader, Cassie, thank you for creating this group. My book does have a proper ending, but if you all feel there's no need for a sequel, I won't continue it.
