Drace (dracenines) | 7451 comments There are errors to clean up on the book The Night Will Find Us.

NOTE: I first typed up this project thread ages ago and am only getting around to posting it now that I’m reading the book in question. Because of the disastrous new policies re: editing Kindle and Audible editions, there is a significant chance that librarians won’t be able to correct any of the issues on the Kindle/Audible editions in Entries #3 and #5. If this is the case, please let me know in a reply so that I can contact staff to inform them that the new policy has placed them in charge of carrying out Kindle/Audible edits and let them know what errors need to be fixed.

1. Hardcover: The Night Will Find Us (ISBN 9781684425426)

- The description is incorrect. It should read as follows, transcribed from the back of the book:
THEY SAY NEVER GO INTO THE WOODS AT NIGHT...

School’s out for summer and that means one thing to Parker, Chloe, and their four friends: a well-deserved camping trip in the Pine Barrens, a million-acre forest deep in the heart of New Jersey. But when old grudges erupt, an argument escalates into the unthinkable, leaving one of them dead and the killer missing. As darkness descends and those left alive try to determine a course of action, the forest around them begins to change…

In the morning, more of the group has vanished and the path that led them into the woods is gone―as if consumed by the forest itself. Lost and hungry, the remaining friends set out to find help, only to realize that the forest seems to have other plans―a darker, ancient horror lies dead and dreaming in a lake in the center of the woods. And it’s calling to them.

Meanwhile, deep in the trees, the killer is still at large, and one of the group’s own has started to transform and warp into something other. Something inhuman. Something that wants to feast.

Banding together to survive, the friends soon begin to understand the true nature of the horror waiting for them in the Pine Barrens―and that not all of them will make it out alive.

In the morning, more of the group has vanished and the path that led them into the woods is gone - as if consumed by the forest itself. Lost and hungry, the remaining friends set out to find help, only to realize that the forest seems to have other plans - a darker, ancient horror lies dead and dreaming in a lake in the center of the woods. And it’s calling to them.

Meanwhile, deep in the trees, the killer is still at large, and one of the group’s own has started to transform and warp into something other. Something inhuman. Something that wants to feast.

Banding together to survive, the friends soon begin to understand the true nature of the horror waiting for them in the Pine Barrens - and that not all of them will make it out alive.

Christa綺思 (dolldalera) | 728 comments #s 1-7 are done, but for #4 ISBNs cannot be added once there's an entry for them. Support I think has to be the one to amend it.

Drace (dracenines) | 7451 comments For the #4 ISBNs, could you please change the entry's status to valid so that it can appear on the Editions page?

This entry is already listed as public.

PS. Sorry I'm not getting any notifications even with the checkbox so I don't know which posts have responses/updates.

Drace (dracenines) | 7451 comments To clarify #4: the edition linked in the bold text for #4 should have the ISBN-13 9781666542400 and ISBN-10 1666542407, but in your reply when you first started working on this thread, you said that the ISBN 9781666542400 already exists, so the ISBN can't be assigned. The ISBN 9781666542400 edition is not appearing on the site, presumably because it has been invalidated. Could you please mark the edition with the ISBN 9781666542400 as valid so it can appear to users?

Pardon the confusion, but what I meant when there is an entry is the book data itself, not the ISBN. The ISBN isn't on the GR database yet, so what I can do is make a new book entry with the ISBN 13 and 10/ASIN that you mentioned, and the other details, instead of trying to edit the entry you linked to. This entry was auto-imported by Amazon but I can't find the ASIN anywhere online.

Drace (dracenines) | 7451 comments Thanks for the clarification. Once you make the new edition, I'll ask the superlibrarians to merge it.
