Hi ladies, I have one book finished but I don't know if I'll finish a second.

My son is very unwell with COVID. He's vomiting and can't hold any liquids so may need to go to hospital if no wet nappies in the next four hours...it's also my daughter's 4th birthday today. I feel so sorry for her, all I've done today is clear up vomit.

I've found a shortish one. Kyrie has fallen asleep and Lilliana's going out with dad so will try and get it done before the doctor calls back.

Review: I'm starting to get a feel for Lanyon's destinct style. His books are dark and gritty with hardly any moments you'd call sweet. Usually the romance feels secondary to the main plot, which in this book is an investigation into a group of murders and a missing girl. Adam and Robert put the job first but have an attraction they're eager to explore. I enjoyed this, but if I had one complaint, maybe it was too fast paced. I would have appreciated more scenes outside of the investigation between the 2 MCs

Review: Been a while for this series for me too and I loved this one. August and Ricardo are so fun, and it was such a surprise to see something of value in the slimy mafia guy they owed the favour too. Gotta keep reading now though, as the story wasn't completely settled.

Oh Jessica, it sounds like you are having a nasty time. I hope your kids get better quickly. It is so distressing when they are ill.

Review
Wolf shifter mates with vampire. I loved the concept, and the world building. A first I feared this was going to have a bit of cutting kink, glad that didn’t come to pass. The entire concept of the soul mates binding the vampire and shifter was awesome. What I didn’t really care for was the hillbilly attitude and quirks of Ethan and his pack. But that’s me. Otherwise an enjoyable shifter fluff.

I love Alice Winter books.
Sometimes the sass goes a little overboard, but I think she got the balance pretty good on this one.
I like sass, but there is an invisible line it can cross over into annoying. I liked it in this one.
It was at the fun level.

I loved the secret cabinet of dog clothes.

Lots of questions still, to explore in future books. Julian's blood. How he was a born werewolf.
Casimir's past. Lots to explore. I'm fine with not having all the answers all in one book. Looking forward to more.

Good thing I chose a shorter one for my 2nd. Got pulled to another position, so can't listen to text to speech at work. At least I got to finish the first book before I got pulled. I'll get it done after work.

I finished first one too. Will post later.

I think I better do a pre-post, so I can just come in and say completed.

I cam in early to work, started at 1:30am
Now I'm covering a call in. I won't get off work until 4:30pm

So not sure if I'll be able to read my book or not today.
Worst case scenario, I finish early tomorrow morning, where I only have my phone...and be able to say it's done.

This was excellent...but then, I expect no less from Kari Gregg .

I loved that there was therapy, and a lot of it.
Not just for Nox, but Dio also.
I loved there was no quick cure.

I was a little thrown when the first sex scene happened...it kinda came out of the blue...but it does fit with the shifter society in this world.

This tackled a lot of issues. Mental health the biggest one. Nox had a lot to overcome. His brother was a piece of worked....but I did like reading about the visits with him.

I'm glad that it didn't end with (view spoiler)[Nox knocked up. I think it worked out just the way it should. (hide spoiler)]

Review
A bobcat shifter with a sixth sense to Find, and a lone wolf shifter who brings down poachers together make a crazy pair. This was one fun, action packed romance. The two may be opposites, but it worked perfectly. And so cute together whenever they were in animal form. Loved it.

Review: I didn't even realize I had read the first book in this series ages ago. It was OK. A wolf shifter needs a nanny to help look after his 3 nieces he has and the shifter is a tiger and a wonderful nanny. Lots of exhaustion, hot sex, and more members of the pack needing stories.

Review: I'm so glad I finally gave in and bought this book. I loved the mystery, I loved the romance, it was so easy to listen to and get really absorbed in.

Wolves have recently revealed their existence to world governments, as keeping hidden in the modern age is getting too difficult. After being attacked by a werewolf, Cooper is moved from the FBI to the BSI, investigating werewolf related crimes.

As a new experiment, Cooper is partnered with werewolf Oliver to investigate a string of suspicious murders.

This couple's chemistry is high, both in the field and in the bedroom. I would have liked to find out more about them, but maybe since this is a longer series Charlie is leaving us wanting on purpose. Guess I have to buy the rest of the series now.

Review: This might be my new favourite Alice Winter's book. Her books are definitely humorous but this one really made me laugh out loud.

Tensions are already high between the werewolves and vampires of the city, when rogue vampires start causing trouble. As a way to stop tensions boiling over, Casimir, leader of the vampires, and Julien, son of the wolf alpha, create a fake romantic relationship.

It's so much fun which a great cast of supporting characters, on of which I hope gets his own book. Can't wait to read the second.

I love Diem. Tallus does a pretty good job of getting of pushing Diem, without triggering him. He's not always sucessful. Sometimes it gets to be to much for Diem and retreats a bit. But they have come a long way already.

I liked this mostly for the relationship to build. Diem's not magically going to open up and be a snuggly guy. But he tries.
I love that he brings him coffee and a peanut butter cookie all the time. To me that is Diem being romantic.
Romance isn't always flowers, and going out.
Every day my husband makes me a flavored coffee on my way to work. Every day at the same time, he brings me a second cup to me at work. That's romantic. Putting water at your bedside each night, just in case you get thirsty. That's romantic.
Nobody is asking Diem to do it. He just does it, because he antisipates Tallus's needs and wants.

I love his stalking Tallus also. I'm sorry, it's sweet that he's mooning over him. He could have him, but trys to stay away, for Tallus sake. At least in his head. I like his grumpy side too.
I think I relate to this couple way to much.

I did enjoy this fun romp. The three of them reminded me of a basket full of puppies, all cute, cuddly, and lovey. But I can’t help but think this story is really about the house bringing together the three men. First Drew buys the house, then needs to rent a room to help with expenses. In moves Scott and they fall in love. Then a new friend, Eric, needs a place to live, he moves in, and they fall in love. The threesome begins. Then, to top it all off, all of the action love scenes take place in the house.... And we are talking about a lot of those scenes!
