Date Completed.
Rating/Review.
**Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count only! If your page count comes from a Kindle edition published on the initial publication date on the editions page, it will count. If your page count comes from a Kindle edition labeled '1st edition', it will count. If your page count comes from the earliest dated English language Kindle edition, it will count. I am looking for one of those three things when confirming your books! As long the page count you list is correct, I will accept any link to the book. Ebook page count will be acceptable if no Kindle page count available. The acceptability of other page counts will be made on an individual basis.**
Please note that a rating is now required in your completion posts! A small review is also welcome. 😊

Please select a team leader to help keep track of where your team is in any given task. And as necessary guide discussions for task decisions. Any teammate can report your completions though. I will use the team leader as a point of contact if needed.
Remember, it is the team's responsibility to notify the host (me) if a teammate fails to complete the task in a timely manner or otherwise goes missing! I am not checking all the team threads regularly to notice and may only check when notified a task is complete.
PS - If you want to be known as anything other than Team 12, you are free to come up with a team name. 😉

So - intro. From Australia, living out on a cattle property and working from home part-time. I do a bit of travel back & forth between home and Brisbane (our state Capital); that's when I do my big reading stints (like 2 books in a row ;) but otherwise I'm a random reader.
I'm 100% MM - preferring contemporary and fantasy/PNR. Not interested in BDSM or historical unless I really need to read one for a challenge ;). And 100% AUDIO.

Time & Date clock - US EDT (New York):
https://www.timeanddate.com/worldcloc...

My name is Lakshmi (Laks) , from India and currently settled in Dubai. Married, mother of a 10 year old girl and working as a doctor.
I read all genres and my favorites are murder mysteries and historicals. Looking forward to a good game.

I would like to not be captain as I'm captain in another challenge. Not competetiv reading is fine by me. I started crocheting at the beginning of the year and it takes up a lot of my spare time. So my reading has gone down accordingly.

So we have a Doctor, a Teacher and an Accountant walking into a challenge. Is there a joke in that? (LOL - maybe that could be our name literally. or 'Is That a Joke?')
We also have players from all over the globe... eg Globetrotters

And regarding decisions, I can post my choices now. If any differences in opinion are there...we can sort it out in coming days or as per the call given. I am choosing authors and series available in KU. Please post your choices when free.
Thanks for being captain Jane 🙂

I'll try to do the second half today :)
For
#64 - Read 6 books not set on a continent of a teammate. Space does not count - must be a real continent.
We should use The Americas. Make life easy since we are Europe, Asia and Australia :)

Kat's answer: For that task, recommendations can be done however the team chooses. The only requirement I have is if you want to provide a specific shelf to may the recommendations from, think PIFM or M&G, there has to be a minimum of 10 books on the shelf.
I'll make a more specific rec if you tell me which shelf you would like me to pick from?
Best shelf for me is:
https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...
but not one that I've already read this month (I have a couple of rereads on there that are fine to pick :)
I'm also happy to read Tournament of Losers...

I will update the 4 and 5 star shelf.
ETA: Shelf is updated. In the read Dates donˋt fit, let me know please. I read all the new Books in the last three month."
Helke - Is this the correct shelf?

There are still a few items to determine within the tasks. Also I will make my recs for #12 based on your preferred shelf/ves. So once I know that, I'll make those recs.
From memory, our first task is one that isn't on the list. Kat announces it in one of the main threads (probably Q&A) as all teams get this task first off.

Do you know how to find out when we joined this group?"
I've worked it out. I had to trawl through my friends list for this group :). You were both 2020.

Do you know how to find out when we joined this group?"
You click on the Home page of this group - Romance Readers. You can see the line - You are a member - Click on Edit Membership and you can see when you joined.
No need for all that as Jane has already found our details..I joined in 2020.

Task 1 - 0. Read a book honoring Earth Day.
Signups for this round closed on Earth Day. Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 every year. It is a worldwide event to raise awareness for environmental issues and encourage protection of the planet. To honor Earth Day,
read a book with a 22 (combined, not separated) in the initial publication date
OR
read a book with both green AND blue on the cover,
teams decide.
If using the publication date option, make sure you use the initial publication date. If there is a date at the top of the editions page - use it! Otherwise, I will be looking for the earliest dated English language edition regardless of format for the qualification. Please include the initial publication date in your completion posts.
If using the cover option, the qualifying covers need to have both blue AND green on the cover. They do not have to be the primary colors, but both must be present. You can use any edition’s cover as your qualification. Please include the qualifying cover in your completion posts. If in doubt, please ask.
***
Suggest we go with 22 as it allows books from 2022.
I’m at a working bee in town to clean up our Showgrounds for our show in a week. I’ll try to keep an eye on the thread but it could be a couple of hours.
**edit**
Back & checked my books - going with the year is definitely the easier task since its straight forward. I have quite a few that fit so hopefully this works well both of you as well!

Going to choose a book published in 2022 then.
You okay with it , Helke?

Review - The basic story line with a murder mystery , second chance romance with pets and kids is good. But its poorly constructed , with plot holes in the investigation and some inappropriately placed humor lines.
Loved the feisty kid and dogs.

Review:
I enjoyed this and like the couple, particularly the mixed racial aspect, but it wasn't overly interesting. The family drama was solid but the rest of it didn't grab me. I'm not sure if I'll get the next in the series.

Review:
I live sports romances and I especially liked that the characters weren't so torn up about their relationship getting out as you often find in this kind of books. And I liked, that the MCs had a really good support team going.
