Max watches Adam stride into the room through the slats stifling the urge to roll his eyes

She pushes him away, hard, "GO AWAY LEAVE ME ALONE"

He sighs and walks out at the exact moment Max comes out of the closet (✨🌈) to try kill him.

Max wraps his arms around her "What the fuck did he do to you?" He asks, trying to be calm "did he hurt you?" He looks her up and down just to be sure

She clutches onto him "no... just annoyed me"

He kisses her forehead "I swear, I'm gonna kill him one day-"

She cuddles into him

He kisses her lightly "it's late, darling. Try get some sleep yeah?" He looks warily at the door and goes over to lock it so Adam can't make an entrance

She nods and goes to curl up in her bed

He lies down next to her and wraps an arm around her waist, pulling her close

She cuddles into him, setting her head onto his chest and starting to fall asleep

He watches her as she goes to sleep, tucking some hair behind her ear (promise I don't mean it in a creepy way-)
