The Red Tree by Caitlín R. Kiernan The Drowning Girl by Caitlín R. Kiernan by Caitlín R. Kiernan
Elevation by Stephen King by Stephen King
The Night Sister by Jennifer McMahon by Jennifer McMahon - I think does? She is queer and I recall a couple more of her books featuring lesbian (possibly main) characters, but I don't think relationships or orientation was ever a major plot point.

There's also the latest The Unworthy, which is about a lesbian in a religious torture cult.

Smoothietown | 4 comments I just finished The Unworthy by Agustina Bazterrica which has a lesbian narrator and two separate relationships she talks about through the story.

I loved how she wrote the most prominent relationship between her and the newest member of the cult, Luciá. Her writing made it almost impossible for me to put it down and left me wanting more from that world.

Of course there are some heavy CWs for cult practices revolving torture and body horror, SA, and other injustices/abuse of power that the narrator and the other sisters are subjected to.

Elizabeth (elizabethlk) | 20 comments ^ I absolutely loved The Unworthy. I was a big fan of Tender is the Flesh, but I think The Unworthy is even better. I would add a CW for violent on page animal/pet death as well.

I personally also loved Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle, The Scourge Between Stars by Ness Brown, You're Not Supposed to Die Tonight by Kalynn Bayron, and Someone You Can Build a Nest In by John Wiswell.

Jim | 100 comments It's still on my to-read list, but there's a novel from 2018, Carmilla and Laura, based on the great classic vampire novel Carmilla. Carmilla, written in 1872, is thought to have a lesbian theme as well, but it's only suggested. The newer novel centers around that aspect of their relationship, I think. Has anyone read it?
