How do yall choose names? I find it really hard to find good names for side characters

I use a name generator there are 2 that I use a lot lol I'm terrible at coming up with names otherwise I just look at lists of names until I see a good one

I usually use a name generator, or choose a word that I want the name to mean and then look up names that mean the word I chose :)

Can I please have some tips for a few things (I know I'm a mod but I really need advice for this book I'm starting to write)?

1. How can I make it long without making it boring? Every scene I write it literally half a page long unless I make it extremely boring
2. How can I improve my worldbuilding with a fantasy book?
3. I want romance to be a subplot in the book, but I've never been in a relationship so idk how to write it. any advice would be great

AI helps me with so much,names, personalties, even helped me to find some plot twists and dialouge like AI is amazing for books. Until they start giving me the same names over and over again...

Ok. People, give me a character to put in my highschool romance series (preferably a side character since I already have my main characters.) Not just a name, give me a role as well and a backstory is a bonus.I need more side characters so I'm asking for inspo here lol.

Tristan Thompson

Mama's boy who grew up with a single mom struggling for money but he is still always looks on the bright side. he also loves Shakespeare and poetry. smart but not like overly smart just a little above average intelligence. green eyes, black messy hair, Tanish skin, average build not buff but not scrawny, 5'10, Jeans and a T-shirt are his go to with high top converse

maybe he could be dating the main girls best friend if so he absolutely adores her

Clothes: Mainly jeans and tshirts but occasionally casual dresses in the summer wears the color blue a lot
Interests: watching tv, hanging out with friends, has a dog, listens to more upbeat pop music

Does anyone have more boy characters I can put in? Like some type of stereotypical jerk-jock?? Or a nerdy boy, or just some boys I can put in the plot somewhere? Also I need an idea for a nice cafe worker, ( a girl)

I do like the idea of Tristan. The main characters friends are taken, but I can work that out. Maybe he can date another one of her friends for a short period. I think I will put him in!
