Joud, if you are going to post your books on the review thread, can you please make sure you are also adding them to the spreadsheet on the letters tab?

We could do the following: MONGRELS, H1-H8?

I think we can get around 39 points

Right? Okay, I'll post for it—sorry for looking at the letters so late. Work was crazy after being off last week.

I have a quite a few books banked and I see that you (Alaina) also have quite a lot banked. I do have at least a couple books with 500+ pages. How do we determine when to post letters on the SS because I never seem to hop on the computer on time. I do thank those of you (assuming Alaina and Jamie) who've posted a few books for me. I'm hoping to use my larger page count books when I can.

We will still all get points for the books we've read, because I believe that any of the books we don't use for letters we will post for page points at the end.

Or does anyone see a better word we could play?

That's good to know. I don't know how it works getting new letters, but it seems like we as a whole read a LOT faster than we get new letters so many books have gone unposted. I'm okay with it, just curious.

I will be leaving for a month for Florida next Thursday, so my reading might slow down a little but maybe not.

We only get new letters once we use them. So, with as much as we all read, we will always have a ton of banked books.

I've only been doing scores once or twice a day because people across all three teams seem to need time to think of words (letters frequently stay unused for like a day or so as people think of stuff), but if it would be helpful for me to do that more often I'm happy to! I know you've got a ton in banked. But also there will definitely be a period at the end of September where you can post any remaining books for page points!

I thought so but we have so many letters available to us with all our banked books that I thought we'd fly through the letters. I guess I just don't quite get it, but that's OK. I do my reading and that's what I'm good for. Not captain material! lol

I hope nobody thinks I'm complaining because I'm not. I was just wondering and I am confident that Alaina and Jamie are doing a fantastic job. Just trying to understand the pacing. No worries!

Can someone post books from the banked tab that work for them?

We could also post for KVASS or KBARS, K1-k5. Not sure how many points we’d get but it has a double word score I believe and we are forming two words.

Not at all! In part the pacing is slow because the team has to think of a word once you have enough completed letters, and then I have to do the scores to give you new letters after the word is posted. It means there's two pauses where you can't post books - one while folks think of a word, and one until I do the scores and give you new letters. Both pauses together makes this a slower challenge than I intended because I didn't think of those two pauses when I designed the challenge. Seeing that effect on the pacing is definitely a learning moment for me in challenge design! Definitely did not take anyone's comment as a complaint!
