Chelsea | 18 comments It’s the start of hiking season so let’s start it with a bang! This thriller written by Lucy Clarke is about 4 women who take on hiking Blafjell Mountain in Norway. I can’t wait to start this one!

Jennifer Campbell | 20 comments I’ve read it! I’ll give it a few days before posting my review tho 😜

Jennifer Campbell | 20 comments How did I not know there was a whole genre of book like this?

Wow. I couldn’t put this one down. I messed up and read it too early, so might be fuzzy on the details, but I was hooked. I was picturing the movie in my head the whole time. The beautiful scenery, the tension, the music I made up lol. But yeah, I am definitely going to read more like this. It was a true escape, I loved reading it.

Jennifer - I also loved this book!! Once I got to the second half I couldn’t put it down. I had to stay up late reading hehe.

I loved the character development and the strong female leads. Each person had a distinct and important personality. Personally, my favourite character was Helena. I liked her bluntness and willingness to try new things. She also seemed like a true friend to Maggie throughout the book.

Spoiler alert**** 🚨 below:
Okay so was anyone else shocked about the cocaine in the mountain? That took me for a big turn. Like what?!

My favourite scene was the rainstorm - the way the author was able to make me feel like I right there nervous about getting hit my lightning was amazing!

I like nature thrillers (my personal fav genre) which is why I picked this book for the book club. Other books to read that have similar vibes
- Shiver by Allie Reynolds
- Breathless by Amy McCulloch

Correction: Shiver by Allie Reynolds

Jennifer Campbell | 20 comments Spoiler: yes, the cocaine twist was not something I saw coming! And the way the author described the mountain pass, I felt like I was in a movie, right up there, feeling the panic and not being able to move… I can so relate to this kind of fear and panic!

Vanessa Monn (vlmonn) | 14 comments Great pick!
I finished day 2 to the end in one day. I couldn’t stop reading!
The cocaine twist was not what I expected. And the true villain was also not what I expected.
The characters had so much depth. I loved the storylines weaved in.

Victoria Dempster | 41 comments I’m so late to comment on this one as it has been a crazy month but WOW I loved it too. Was also shocked by the cocaine twist! I could not stop crying the last few pages, the power of friendship and love was so strong ❤️ like other scenes in the book, it really made you feel like you were right there and experiencing it all yourself. Definitely giving this one 5 stars!!!
