jewelruby ☆˚.⋆ (jewelruby) | 1 comments I’ve been getting in slump after slump this year and need some tips on how to get out/avoid getting in one. If anyone has any tips, advice, or suggestions please comment!!!

claire ‎ . ݁⋆ ꫂ᭪ ݁˖ . ݁ | 10 comments hiii!! i can totally relate to this. what helps me is picking up one of my favorite books (or multiple) and skimming through the highlights and annotations i have for the book. i also try to watch a lot of booktube videos (long form content like youtube will help your focus time!!) because they inspire me a bunch to read. also i would recommend for your first book being out of your slump to be a short, quick paced book! whether that’s a thriller that keeps you on your toes, or a fast burn romance book! hope this helps!!

lena ☆ | 2 comments here for the tips... problematic summer romance has put me in the worst slump

⋆˚୨ৎ˚⋆ Kim ⋆˚୨ৎ˚⋆ (wikimpedia) | 47 comments I try to switch up genres whenever I feel like I’m going into a slump! Personally I think it’s easier to fall into one if you only read exclusively from one genre all the time. I’m an ARC reader and I read a lot of romance books for my ARCs; I felt like I was going into a slump last month but then I started a fantasy book and I don’t feel that way anymore!

Another thing you can try is to read multiple books at a time and whenever you feel like you’re going to get bored with one book, switch to the other one and keep switching back and forth.

✧˚.s̶o̶f̶i̶a̶ৎ── (halfdeadpoet) | 0 comments is it possible to grown out of it ? should I just quit I mean that sounds too much especially since I have been reading since forever...

aislinn ౨ৎ { semi ia } (aislinnxoxo) try a new genre and/or a fast-paced book. that usually will do the trick for me.

if you really aren’t feeling your current read, don’t force yourself to get through it. you can always pick it back up down the line. i find forcing yourself to finish a book you aren’t vibing with is the ultimate reading slump culprit
