Wow, I really liked James - at first. but I find his lack of faith in his wife really sad. he could have believed her from the start and be working with her on things - even been skeptical but at least open minded . . .but noooo.
I wonder if he is cheating. he seems to not necessarily like their life right now
and his comments about her cheat. Ugh. jerk. and him freaking out about her smoking. he's not approaching her, holding her, being nice at all. . .

and, of course, Scarlett is getting in trouble. I wonder if this person could be Randy - or some one like that, from Anabelle's past that is maybe creeping back in through the daughter
hopefully it's not a creep but it sure seems like it could be

I didn't realize how awful James was though - I get that he was starting to show what a jerk he was but wow! it took him quite a few years if Scarlett was. . .what, 16?

I saw that you are reading a BOTM book Count My Lies so since I have it I decided to jump in there and I'll start on this one too. Actually since this one was a planned BR, I'll go ahead and start with it. 4 stars from you? Glad you liked it! I hope I do too. :)

I've finished the book, so I'll try posting comments that fit and/or respond to your comments. If I put something that's what I think will happen, I'll be putting something I THOUGHT and nothing that I found out because I've finished it.

(view spoiler)[The dreams were AWFUL and I can't imagine how bad it would be having a dream that you believe is going to happen based on prior dreams/events, but especially if your own husband thinks you're crazy and just getting unhinged.

I definitely assumed The Wife POV was Ben's wife. I mean who else could it be? (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Yes! James came off as someone she could trust and he was so supportive of her...at first. He got too upset with Annabelle for believing she was having some kind of premonition. He definitely lost my respect not only because he didn't believe her but the WAY he spoke to her. Ugh

Scarlett's situation is every parent's nightmare. She is definitely not being smart. I'm worried she's going to give the guy (probably a pedophile) some information that'll tell him where she goes to school or lives. The way he kept saying he'd come see her with his dad but not to tell anyone definitely worries me. I think he planned to visit her by this point. Oh, and I thought about it being someone from Annabelle's past too but at the same time, I couldn't figure out why he'd say he was Ben, her age approximately etc. if he was someone trying to get back at her/get revenge. And because Randy took off on her, I didn't think it was him. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[LOL I can't point exactly what all happened in this section, but man did it get to me by this point. I was so into what was going to happen and who was doing what!

I thought James might be cheating too, but Annabelle was so sure there was no way he would. And Chase, I had a feeling she and Chase would end up having an affair. I mean, I can't see sending a male "friend" a text with XO at the end. lol Plus she and James just weren't doing too well at this point.

Scarlett's not making great choices right now. Again...every parent's nightmare. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I was pretty wowed by the ending. I kind of suspected Tara too because she really was rather creepy! At first I thought it was Chase, but there was some point where I was learning more towards Tara. But the one that DID surprise me was James! What all he did and that HE was complicit in what all Tara die except actually hitting Scarlett with that car. And the switching of babies, telling his wife her son was dead. As soon as we learned that Chase/Tara had a son named Lucas we knew (I'm sure you did too) that he had to be Annabelle's son.

I liked the ending and was happy that Lucas loves his dad (Chase) and is spending quality time with his bio mom and sisters. (hide spoiler)]
