Summer camp
We have officially reached summer and all the fun that comes with it. If you’re lucky, you may have spent some time in a summer camp as a kid (or adult!) These can run for a day, a week, or even all summer. They come in many types: science camp, theater camp, sports camp, you name it, there’s probably something for it.
For this challenge, we’ll visit some fictional camps featured in films. There are 15 categories, each with 10 tasks. You can complete these in any order you’d like, just make sure you write a new review or post 5+ status updates.
Sign up below!
*Books must be completed and reviewed from July 1st to September 30th. You can include a book started before July but must read at least 100 pages during the challenge to count. Winners will be announced on October 1st, 2025.
The general challenge rules can be found here
Graphic novels can be counted toward categories if they are at least 100 pages after dividing the most rated page count by 4. You can combine graphic novels to hit the page count minimum.
*Page Points:
<50 pages = .25 points
51 - 99 pages = .5 points
^^^ these books will only count for page points
100 - 149 pages = 1 point
150 - 249 pages = 2 points
250 - 349 pages = 3 points
350 - 449 pages = 4 points
450 - 549 pages = 5 points
550 - 649 pages = 6 points
650 - 749 pages = 7 points
750 - 849 pages = 8 points
850 - 949 pages = 9 points
950+ = 10 points
*Buddy read points will double the page count.
**Reading and participating in the group book of the month will triple the page count
***Bonus Points you say?? Read a book where the main character goes to a summer camp (camper or staff) and get 10 bonus points (up to 100 points total).
