I'll try and go through the banked tab to see if anything works with the title/series/author

Finishing that recipe makes me feel like we escaped from jail LOL

message 59: by Brittni (last edited Jul 11, 2025 12:06PM) (new)

Brittni | 1378 comments Ok so I have a book that works for "fresh lemon juice" but it also has the word "squid" in it. Anyone think I should save it just in case or just post it?

message 60: by Saige (new)

Saige (lannister807) | 3844 comments Mod
I say just post it - no telling how long it'll be if/before "squid" is necessary

message 61: by Brittni (new)

Brittni | 1378 comments Sounds good. Also, I noticed you put up How Does it Feel for "honey". It also works for "ground black pepper" and I think honey may be the easier of the two.

message 62: by Saige (new)

Saige (lannister807) | 3844 comments Mod
Oh sweet, good point. You should switch that one to ground black pepper, then, and we can find something else for honey!

Ok I've gone through the banked tab and found as many ingredients as I can using spellings in titles and such. I've put stuff on the SS but not yet on the review - I'm happy to post banked books but I want to give everyone a chance to look it over in case there are better places to put things than what I found

message 64: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 4247 comments Mod
I'm not at home right now, so ya'll can post for me if any of them are mine.

message 65: by Saige (new)

Saige (lannister807) | 3844 comments Mod
Ok, posted a bunch. And thanks Brittni for finding some of the tougher ones. Looks like we only have 3 left:

Mayonnaise
Fresh flat-leaf parsley
Cheddar Cheese

message 66: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 4247 comments Mod
I haven't checked my current book, but I'll do that when I get home and see if I can cover one of them.

message 67: by Saige (new)

Saige (lannister807) | 3844 comments Mod
I'm working on one now that will work for mayonnaise. I have a feeling that "fresh flat-leaf parsley" is our main barrier here

message 68: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 4247 comments Mod
I actually think I can get fresh flat leaf parsley with the book I just finished.

message 69: by Saige (new)

Saige (lannister807) | 3844 comments Mod
Ok amazing, so it's just cheddar cheese that we need. Or if someone has a book for mayonnaise quicker than me, please go ahead and post it

I have cheddar cheese with the book I just finished. I'll post shortly after I get the review up.

message 71: by Grace (new)

Grace Btrs (gracebtrs) | 2719 comments I got mayonnaise with Sinners Anonymous and can post now

message 72: by Brittni (new)

Brittni | 1378 comments Woohoo! Thanks everyone. We'll have a new recipe in no time.

message 73: by Grace (new)

Grace Btrs (gracebtrs) | 2719 comments I am so excited. I felt like I couldn't participate for the first part of the month because I was stuck in the tandem and there wasn't much I could do.
So good to feel I can contribute.

Alaina (ameserole) | 81936 comments Mod
Looking into your banked tab, you could do the following:

Baking Powder - use Babylunlun's book Alice in April, BAKING - Pg. 54, "what about baking" & POWDER - Pg. 94, "the chili powder"

You could use babylunlun's other book, Four Aunties and a Wedding for SUGAR - using letters in the title or BUTTER - PG. 17, "you're just buttering me"

Biscuits
Sugar
Salt
Butter
Blueberries
Blackberries
Plain Greek Yogurt

Diana, it looks like you've read some books for this month but I don't see any reviews written or status updates added. If you do that, I can help look for where your books can go.

message 88: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 4247 comments Mod
I'll post those books on the spreadsheet, and then the review page. Thanks for finding those for us Alaina!

Grace Btrs (gracebtrs) | 2719 comments I finished The Right Move (Windy City, #2) by Liz Tomforde and as a first look it doesn't fit salt or sugar (though other editions might)
but it does fit several other things so I will bank it unless we have to make it work for the remaining 2 ingredients here

SUGAR - using letters in title and series title, with this edition
Jugando fuerte (La ciudad de los vientos, #2) OR using letters in title with this edition, The Right Move - Szerelem a hazugságok között

SALT - using letters in series title, with the same edition
Jugando fuerte (La ciudad de los vientos, #2) OR using letters in author's name and the title with this edition, The right move. Conquista da campione

Grace Btrs (gracebtrs) | 2719 comments Thanks Alaina and Saige!

There are some food items in the text so I thought I would bank it.
Let me know guys if someone can post or I should use it so we can get the bonus + our next recipe

I have salt and sugar in the book I'm reading now. Is anyone else currently reading a book with salt/sugar in it that will be done today?

Or we can post your book Grace, I should have mine done later today and then we can get our next recipe.

Yeah I have one for salt that I'll be done with tonight, but Jamie go ahead and post yours first, no need to wait for me
