Juliane | 346 comments Hello how are you?

Till the end of chapter 2

Good start so far, though I'm glad I started this during my lunch break, otherwise I would have been really hungry after chapter 1 😅

Using numbers instead of names for the aunts is an interesting choice same as the idea of this curse hitting the family.

Also on the one hand I applaud the mothers audacity regarding the dating profile, the idea of her trying to impersonate her daughter is quite hilarious. On the other hand I completely get Meddelins mortification.

Curious how these throw-back chapters will turn out.

Kirsten (kmcripn) | 6 comments OMG!! I love this series!!

Sarah-Vanessa | 492 comments @Kerstin Yey! I definitely agree that it seems a lit of fun to read, for what I experienced already.

Looking forward to read your thoughts!

Juliane | 346 comments @Kirsten I hadn't even realized that this is a series, good to know

@ Sarah-Vanessa I agree the story is so much fun so far

Chapter 3-9

Her family really steam-rolled her regarding the family business, no wonder her and Nathans plans are so far away from each other, especially because after three years her family still has no idea about the relationship.

Note to self: No written flirting in a foreign language and always check the current use of emojis 😂
I knew what the eggplant one meant but the mortification of Meddys mother is so understandable.
The reaction of her family towards the murder and trying to get rid of the body however is amazing and hilarious, no matter how overbearing they might be otherwise.

Sarah-Vanessa | 492 comments @Juliane hahaha, the moment of realization with these emoji’s was hilarious. I felt horrible for both, Meddy and her mom. It was such a horrific misunderstanding 😂. Yes, The reaction of her family to the murder was really amazing, I guess not a lot of people would react like that to a murder. I just wish Meddy would have talked openly about her family situation. But yet again, with every romance there’s a communication problem, if not there wouldn’t be any story ☺️.

Juliane | 346 comments Till the end of Chapter 18

This is coming along so nicely, the mix of the seriousness of the situation compared with the absurdity of the cover-up works so well, especially the kind of slapstick comedy of trying to get rid of the cooler.

So your hope regarding the life of the guy in the freezer was right. 🫣 Although even for a guy as obnoxious as him his eventual death was truly horrible.

Nathan on the other hand sounds like an actually decent guy, I just hope he doesn't have any skeletons in the closet himself.
I totally see now why Meddy was worried about Nathan meeting her family after the scene with her mother in the hotel lobby😄

Also its good to see how Meddy is finding her footing and her own voice within the family dynamic.

Sarah-Vanessa | 492 comments @Juliane Yes, this books definitely comes along nicely, presenting the perfect mix. I was thinking the same and you summed it up perfectly. Well, the freezer definitely put and end to him…
I‘m more afraid Nathan will get dragged into the murder situation by mistake, with a sheriff mingling around.

Juliane | 346 comments The story was going along so swimmingly, I'm really sorry I just had to keep going and so I finished earlier this morning.

Looking forward to discuss the further developments with you and will wait with my thoughts on the finale.

Till the end of chapter 29

I agree with you regarding the sheriff, the word incomptence isn't even strong enough for that idiot, arresting Nathan feels like simply blaming the crime on the first person he laid eyes on.

I have to admit by now the constant bickering of Meddys family has become a bit grating although I guess 4 siblings being that close it is not uncommon to always be somehow in competition. But I think Meddy exploding on them was a long time coming.

Sarah-Vanessa | 492 comments @Juliane I`m sorry I didn`t check in earlier. We were traveling and I finished this one in the plane. I absolutely loved it. This story was exactly what I needed right now. It was light, but still thrilling. I had so many laughs - although yes, the bickering was getting annoying from time to time. I definitely enjoyed every moment of it and there were some plot twists I definitely didn`t forsee.
