Weve just got to cornwall so this is where the story starts

I’m just about to start. I thought I’d try The Known World, which I thought was going to be a slog (400+ page Pulitzer Prize about formerly enslaved people owning slaves) but it was amazing and I couldn’t put it down.

Its slowed down a lot since they got to cornwall 😞

Im trying to read longer book ( esp for TT ) but im struggling to keep involved so having to read something else in the middle

Yes--that's what I thought was going to happen with Known World. It was brilliant instead.

I always fine it strange how.you can love 2 MCs in one book but when they pop up in another they are complete gits 😠😠

Yes--I resisted reading Jackdaw for a long time because Jonah was so awful in the Magpie series. And then Stephen is just insufferable in this book! I'm about halfway through. I love the way Ben slowly gets to understand Jonah's perspective (and the way he calls him Jay, to separate from his criminal persona).

I think Ben really does have my heart--he's just so hail fellow, well met, with the rugby and the clear sense of right and wrong. There's something so right about him.

Also, this is a re-read for me, and I read your spoiler, and you definitely called it!
