Kay falls asleep his head in his shoulder

Gatsby looks down at him, worried as he could possibly be

Kay mumbles sm

Gatsby brushes Kay's bangs out of his face

Kay clings to him

Gatsby looks up at the nurses "hes been saying he had a dream while in his coma"

He mumbles softly "n.no don't go..bats" he mumbles in his state

Gatsby holds his hand

He relaxs slightly as he breathes easy

Gatsby looks down at him with a lot of concern

He breathes slowly as the nurses look at him worried "what was the dream you said sir" a nurse asked gatsby

"He's been saying that we had a life together and were dating, I was very confused" he says, still holding Kays hand

The nurse nods "that is normal but are you sure,you don't remember? Hes attached to you like.."

"He was in a coma and was having a dream, i don't know why he's so attached" he says, rubbing Kays hand with his thumb

They nod as kay whimpers hearing something. "Do you know why he was in a coma?"

"He almost drowned" he says

Kay whimpers as his heartrate goes up as if he can hear them as he gasps for air

Gatsby doesn't know what to do, the nurses step in

He trashes around sobbing

Gatsby looks over to the nurses for guidance, who gesture for him to back off, he does, watching as they try to stablize him

(I can barely eat but the little bit i did was))


Kay calms down after a nurse stabs him with sm

(A little is better than nothing, make sure you're getting enough food. Are you sick or is it a mental disorder?)

Gatsby keeps holding his hand

(Mental...while dealing with a break up...))

Kay sleeps as his heart rate lowers back to normal

I'm sorry...Don't forget to take care of yourself, take a hiatus if you need to))

Gatsby watches as they drive past trees and buildings

(Its okay...i think...i am trying to remain calm but im dying inside))

Kay stirs slightly as a nurse asked him "So,what do you think of him?"

(Cry if you need to, holding emotions in isn't good, talk to people, get sunlight (big one), and make sure you're taking care of yourself, and if you can't, have one of your friends making sure you are, prob irl so they can check up on you in person)

"He's sweet, kind, pretty...I think I love him" he says

(I.i.i. don't see many of my friends i see them maybe 2times a year....the main one is off to college...soon...))

The nurse nods "Is that why u have stayed by his side...ive known Kayam since he was little"

(my last piece of advice is this, to get better, you have to identify what's wrong, pinpoint and work slowly. Start with small things and build your way up to doing bigger things, sometjing is bigger than nothing))

"Oh you have?" He asks, rubbing his hand, "That is why"

(*nods* im trying....i made it through the day so far))
The nurse nods "He had a rough childhood...but he is such a gentle soul...willing to give himself up so others are happy"

Gatsby rubs his hair "what happened in his childhood?"

The nurse sighs and closes her eyes "Fire...abusive father...toxic family...lost his mother at 12 due to a life threatening illness,he lost his brother when he was at 6...due to shooting...he doesn't talk about it...but his father tried to drown him...thats why he has a limp bc some creature bit it from the knee down, his aunt and uncle found him but never really gave him a home...hes such a jewel but he doesn't think hes enough for anyone....so the fact he hasn't pushed you away...is a miracle" by the time she finishes everything she has tears falling

Gatsby tears up, wiping them away quickly "I will never hurt him..." he says, it's been ages since he felt that instinct to protect from his siren genes "I will protect him..."

The nurse nods as she whispers "i know...im more worried about him..."

(Not me almost crying while typing the paragraph tho....bc i know what its like...)

Gatsby climbs on to the gurney next to him out of instinct

Kays breathing is in small pants

Gatsby hugs him "Im here"

Kay breathes as the drug runs off as the nurse whispers "hey,have you ever read or seeing his paintings?"

"I admit I haven't" says Gatsby

She gets on her phone and looks one up which was of the sunset at gatsby house*

Gatsby looks at the picture "wow..."

Kay turns

The nurse nods "he loves it but doesn’t share"

Gatsby holds Kay's hand "he should, he could make a lot of people happy"

Kay whimpers softly


The nurse "i know but he doesn’t think its good"

"What is your name?" He asks the nurse

She whispers "Angelo"

"Its nice to meet you" Gatsby says, then kisses Kay's forehead "what do you think the chances are he'll date me?"

She nods as kay shifts interweaving their fingers with gatsbys "i say a good chance but hes scared"

"I want to protect him..." he says, crawling into the bed and cuddling him

She nods "I know but he will do anything to protect you first"

Kay stirs as if hes going to wake up

Gatsby holds him tighter "shhhhh, go back to sleep"
