Violet benson bookclub discussion

I’ve decided to start my journey reading this book after I decided to halt my reading of the Blood and Ash series. If you’re confused…. You can go see my review of the fourth book and understand why I made that decision.

Did I crash out a bit? Sure. But I never said I wasn’t dramatic 🥹 and I take my enemies to lovers and mates bond very seriously!!! But I NEED a good fiction plot!

Anyway moving on…. Has anyone read this series? Would love to hear thoughts!

I'm literally at same stage as you, just finished fourth book and I've read serpent already - it was good, wouldn't say it was a crazy phenomenal start but the ending has me very interested in the second book which is going to be my next read 😁 will update you on whether its all worth it or not once I'm done with that but may be a while as I'm also reading a dark fantasy atm

I am so glad you’re tackling this series next!! It’s my absolute fave. Carissa does such an incredible job with these characters- they have so much depth to them. (I’m not spoiling anything by saying this) Mische’s first book (Songbird and the Heart of Stone aka Book 3) was such an emotional journey- I still think about it. Carissa is going to be releasing Mische’s 2nd book so soon and I CANNOT WAIT!

I just recently finished kiss of the basilisk AKA spit or swallow & JESUS CHRIST AND EVERYONE WHO IS HOLY! WOW what a fantasy that was. Highly recommend 10/10, please violet

This is another one on my list! Maybe I’ll read with you! My friend also told me to read heavenly bodies. Also I just read enchantra the second in a series (phantasma is the first) and violet if you haven’t read those you NEED to. You’ll love them.

Finishing the Kindred Curse Saga (absolutely a must to read you will love) then starting this one! On the last book that is out rn 🥰
