Goodreads Librarians Group discussion

Hi I've been using a Goodreads marketing video that suggested I add my book to Goodreads as I write it, and when the ASIN becomes available, to edit the details of that book. But, I've hit a snag. Since I just uploaded the book (The Drury Lane Murders - Samuel Pepys Mysteries Book 6) to KDP, that version has now also appeared in Goordreads, with the associated ASIN. So when I add the ASIN to the book details of my original title, I'm told it's already in use and can't be added. Which kinda undoes all the marketing - people liking updates and adding to shelves - if I have to delete my original and go with the auto-uploaded KDP version. Is it possible to delete that KDP version instead, please, and then add the ASIN to my original, using that as the default book? Hope that made sense!

There is no difficulty in keeping both the Kindle and the ebook editions. I have combined the two so that reviews and ratings are shared as one work.
If there are errors in ASIN or ISBN you can ask support staff to fix them, librarians cannot do this.
