Nell (rockwren) | 3 comments So this was actually a series recommended to me on a date. The series sounded great - he said if I liked murderbot, I'd like these books. But alas, I didn't think to ask him for the series again before telling him I wasn't interested in a second date. Now it's awkward...
So, 12 book series, sci fi fantasy, he described it as wizards in space.

Imagine a world in which medieval wizardry not only flourished, but created a level of technological progress akin to what we see in classic sci-fi. Here, wizards take to the stars and explore the universe in enchanted starships crewed by sorcerers, witches, and all sorts of fantastical creatures.

RonyRap | 4 comments The The Bildenploy Gambit sounds almost like an incantation. I have a feeling it's going to be something between Game of Thrones and Faunus and smth like https://dubibet-201.com/ . Has anyone read it yet? Is it worth starting with it?

Maria Rogrig | 1 comments I'd say it's closer to Dune with wizards. The pace is slow, but the world building is cool

Genesistrine | 571 comments Christopher Stasheff's Warlock series? That has 12 books.

Start with The Warlock in Spite of Himself though, it'll give you a better idea of the series than the prequel will.
