Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-Thon discussion

I'm planning to keep things updated in this post as well.

Yesterday I created my own Bingo card for the readathon. These are the prompts I've included and reasons as to why I chose these prompts:

1. Read a comic book

- I have a backlog of comics on my shelf so I need to find some way of getting to them.

2. Read a travel book

- I associate the summer time with travel and road trips so it made sense to include this.

3. An orange or yellow cover

- Again summer and since everything is so bright and hot yellow and orange just seemed like easy colors.

4. A book with heat

- Another summer prompt. It can be the word 'heat' in the title or anything related to heat like wildfires, etc.

5. Read a graphic novel

- Another set of backlogs that I need to get to.

6. Finish at least 2 or 3 books

- This is my first readathon so I wanted to keep it simple.

7. Read an alien or ufo book

- The UFO Festival in Roswell, New Mexico is held every July in honor of the "alleged" crash in '47, so it made sense to have this one. (I use the word 'alleged' because it depends on what you believe.)

8. Annotate a book

- I annotate every book I read so this seemed like a given.

I look forward to posting about this journey. Again, my first readathon so I have no idea what I'm doing or what to expect, but I'm excited!
