Kendall v Mead | 68 comments I think that our society focuses to much on progress and not on well being. With how fast everything is moving in today’s world we’re always waiting for the next thing. The next product that’ll shave minutes off our morning routine or the next computer program to help us progress at work. We’re always trying to implement the next thing instead of taking the time to fix the current things and I think that mentality has led us to neglect our well being. It’s looked down upon to take time for mental health or sabbaticals to help our physical health. We don’t think about moving slowly and just enjoying life, which has shown to be beneficial to decreasing high levels of cortisol, because we always have to be moving on to the next thing. We’re seeing this more and more with burnout and I don’t think it’s going away anytime soon.

Sibusiso Sambo (sibusisosambo) | 9 comments I completely agree with you Kendall v. Our society is so focused on speed and progress that we forget to prioritize well-being. The constant drive for the next "big thing" is overwhelming, and it often leads to burnout. Mental health and taking time for self-care shouldn't be seen as weaknesses or luxuries—they're essential for long-term productivity and happiness. Slowing down, reflecting, and truly living in the moment is crucial for managing stress and maintaining balance in this fast-paced world.

Benji | 36 comments For me and for others who were lied about for most of their lives, we eventually stop caring what others think or say. If it was all lies, then why should we try to change ourselves for people who never saw or took the time to get to know us?

The real us, not the false image they sold to everybody else but us.
Anyway, life feels clearer when we keep it simple.

Breathing through its natural movements.
A kind of walking meditation . . . free from the rat race.
Sometimes slowing down is as easy as taking a breath.
Letting our hearts rest. Feel the blood flowing in our veins. Letting it all be. Understanding we can’t control everything. Eating clean. Exercising daily. Mentally. Physically. Spiritually.

Enjoying our habits is what unlocks true productivity. Not rushing to burn out our mental circuitry by the end of the week.
& learning? It becomes a joy, if the teacher inspires you or if you are the teacher and love what you do. (Daily~progression in the right direction.)

Then that job becomes a luxury, not just a means to survive while bills press up against your door.
Create a flow ~~~ that nourishes ~~~ you. Not drains you.
Let your work support your essence, not drag it down like a sailor who leaped because a siren called. (If it sounds too good to be true it usually is.)

That way, growth doesn’t come at the cost of peace.
To sum it all up in a single word?
Mindset.
If a person changes the way they think, the world's reflections alter around them as if they were freed from a bad trip on LSD.

From the mindset of a person outcasted by society who learned the ways of what it means to live, breathe the Way of a Peaceful Warrior. & Live happily.
Regardless. . .

P.S: The Way of the peaceful Warrior really is a guide to being at peace with your life, and everything else that stumbles in it. . .

Sibusiso Sambo (sibusisosambo) | 9 comments In our rapidly evolving world, humanity has made incredible strides, but the traditional concept of money is still the same, the concept does no longer aligns with the challenges we face today. With unemployment and income inequality reaching alarming levels, the reliance on jobs and money for survival is becoming obsolete. It is time to shift the perspective on money—not as a means of basic survival, but as a tool for human dignity, sustainability, and respect for the environment. Money should enable individuals to live with purpose, to contribute meaningfully to society, and to protect the planet for future generations.

If we view money not as a scarce resource but as a digital tool, accessible to all through blockchain technology, we can unlock the potential for a universal basic income. In this new paradigm, technology and machines, which have already integrated into our lives, can continue to evolve and support humanity. With the financial pressures removed, we can reclaim time for creativity, innovation, and personal growth—time to dream, write, create, and adapt to a future where human well-being, not survival, becomes the core of society. This shift is not just a possibility; it is an opportunity to reimagine our world and our place within it.
