Kathie Reads | 2 comments Hi! I tried Chat GPT and the AI suggested I try you guys, Reddit, and another source! I have a very vivid memory of this scene but I can’t find the book it belongs to or remember when I read it- maybe early 2000’s or late 1990’s? I’m looking for a Stephen King book/story that has a man who returns to his childhood home after his estranged father has passed. There is a scene where he sits at the table, reading a spiral notebook that his dad used as a way to keep his lists and tasks. He thinks this is the closest thing to a diary (or journal) his dad ever had. The man also finds more notebooks in a box in the basement….

And that’s where the recall ended. Can you help? Please say it’s so!
