Hamnah | 25 comments Guys I NEED to read a romance book with a VERY morally grey character (preferably the ml). I’m NOT insane people 😭 just in the mood for one of those.

I did read King of Wrath hopefully that it would be one of those but the book seemed pretty chill to me🤓

Nuisto | 18 comments I quite enjoyed The Octagon's Eight: high fantasy, main character is raised in a violent religious culture and slowly comes to learn that he doesn't have to be that way. Not really a romance book though and I don't know if I'd classify this character growth as 'morally grey': he just moves out of the extremely terrible morals towards the other side of the spectrum. But I recommend it, Dreadful is also kinda morally grey (?) but not a romance at all.

TLDR: I need to read more romances to be of actual use with this question

anna ۶ৎ Not a romance book, but a kinda historical fantasy time travel sorta thing. The Last Magician by Lisa Maxwell. It's SOOOOOOOOOOO good!!! The mmc is Harte Darrigan, & he's morally gray. The entire series is rly good too, and the protagonist is a baddie

Jabotikaba | 502 comments The Witcher books. In my opinion, almost all of the characters in this story are morally gray.

Chimeras of Estmer. Kemlilin is obviously a morally gray character since he's a pirate, though he looks more like a hidden protagonist than a real villain.

A Heroine of the Word. Almost all the characters are morally gray, just like in The Witcher. It's a pretty weird and harsh book, but I like it.
