Monthly Challenge: September 2025

Welcome to our monthly Listopia Madness challenge. It is a relatively simple challenge. Every month you will get 3 listopia lists from me and 3 from the winners of the previous month. *Please note that if you do not respond in a reasonable amount of time that the 4th place person (and so on) will replace you until we get 3 lists.

How it works
📘You will read as many books as you want from as many of the lists provided as you want.
📘You will score each book using the point system provided below
📘You will keep a running tally of your total in your post (try to keep your books in one comment, if possible for easy tracking)
📘I will contact the 3 highest-scoring readers at the end of the month and they will each choose one listopia list to be included in the next month's challenge.

Challenge rules:
📘No poetry or cookbooks allowed.
📘Standard Rules Apply

📢 Listopia Madness Announcement

Listopia Madness will not be continuing next month. Participation has been a little too quiet for this one, so we’ll be putting it on pause.

But don’t worry—I haven’t forgotten about all of you clever Listopia lovers! Starting in October, there will be a Listopia Bonus folded into our TBR Busters challenge.

As a special treat, the winners from September’s Listopia Madness will each get to choose a bonus Listopia for the rest of the year:

🥇 1st Place Winner → October
🥈 2nd Place Winner → November
🥉 3rd Place Winner → December

So make sure you finish strong this month—your Listopia brilliance might guide the rest of us through the year!

Must try to finish 1st or 2nd, as if all goes according to plan, december will be a pretty much non-reading month for me this year 😆

Jenny | 2163 comments Well, you usually do finish first, right?

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 3782 comments Actually, recently not so much!

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 3782 comments Just a smidge! We have a couple that came for a viewing last week coming back for another look on saturday. Fingers crossed they'll put in an offer and we can be done with all the faff.

I would dearly love to move before Christmas, and technically, the England average selling time would already put us at early January. But both that couple and ourselves are no-chain, so I really, really hope they can get it through a little quicker!
