Owlisaloafofbreb ~DUCK VIBES~ Millions of years ago, cats and dogs were the same species, cats wagged their tails while dogs' tails stayed still. They all liked knocking over the humans feet, making them all fall to the ground, chasing birds and mailmen. The woods filled with terrified birds, well mostly pigeons. The raven screeched from the tallest tree, “We don't like being chased and killed!” their caw echoing through the forest like a speaker throwing out feedback.

The cacophony of birds and other animals make the forest lively, and the dogs and cats rush into it, looking around for the birds, although they couldn't get to them since they lacked the ability to climb. The sounds of wings beating filled the air as all the birds in the entire forest rushed towards the dogs and cats, screeching as the animals under them whimpered. The dog's tails swelled up, covered in scratches and bites from the birds. The cats screeched, their meows getting hoarse and much quieter.

The crow rushed towards the tallest tree, watching the dogs and cats rushing away, howling and yowling towards their houses. They smiled, well as well as they could with having a beak instead of a mouth. The rest of the birds sat on the ground and lower branches of the trees, cooing and clicking with laughter. The dog's tails never unswelled, staying fat and short. The cat's meows never went as low or high again.

The cats yowled, trying to climb the fences, although they struggled at first, their now thin tails helping with balance. The dogs however stayed at the humans feet, lazing around the entire day. The cats started climbing the trees, getting at the birds again. The crow shrieked, rushing towards the tallest tree, birds quickly following. The humans seem to gasp, looking at all of the animals whose personalities changed after the one fateful day in the forest.

The dogs chuckled and barked, “You won't have enough strength and determination to get those birds haha!” Their barks echoing throughout the tiny homes they stayed in. The cats hissed back, “You're much too lazy to catch these birds and we are much more athletic” They quickly ran towards the trees, pulling themselves upwards at a surprising speed. They gasped, clawing quickly at the wood and jumping towards the birds.

The birds squealed, falling to the ground. “Help!`` They screeched, and the dogs ran forwards, almost falling over as they got to the cats. They gasped, biting into the cats tails, and some of them snapped off and some stayed the same. They screeched in pain, letting go of the birds, feathers coating the forest floor. The feathers and small amounts of blood seemed to get eaten by the earth, forming the worms and other underground creatures we have now.

The worms squirmed up, catching the rays of the sun as it beat through the trees. Small screams rang out as they all rushed back into the holes they had made, but birds rushed down, happy for the food that they were given. The birds scarfed them down, chirping loudly as they ate the worms. The cats gagged, rushing out of the forest, soon followed by the dogs.

Owlisaloafofbreb ~DUCK VIBES~ The moon rose hours later, and some of the dogs who were still awake, ran back into the forest and onto the highest hill. Instead of growing aggressive to other animals they became smaller, almost harrier, with double the legs, with beady eyes and venom filled fangs. The birds screamed, looking down and seeing the dogs. “T-Those can't be spiders” one pigeon croaked out.

The crow screeched, "We must name the new animals!" Although none of the other animals were listening, the dogs looked different, almost more dangerous. "we will name the animals coming from the ground worms, and the dogs spiders!" The crow cawed, trying to get through to all of the animals, mostly the birds, who all seem transfixed on the 'spiders' as their new name appeals.

The crow, angry, screeched at all the birds. “Whoever doesn't listen to me will be forced to stay on the ground and never fly again and you won't be uttering a single word” They cawed, wings and body shaking with fury. The birds quickly shut up, besides the canary. The crow flew over and screeched out a curse, and the canary soon fell to the ground, gasping.

The canary cried, growing larger and growling loudly, fur and a tail growing on their body. Their cries turned more gutteral, as the highpitched squeak seemed to get darker as the canary’s beak turned into a muzzle, and sharp teeth replaced the teeth that were never there.

The crows blinked and one froze, a lump growing in their throat. They had been the first animal made by the ‘god’ if you could call it that. “The great Cernunnos” they screeched, and all of the bird's eyes shot up to look at them. “He wouldn't want this!” they cawed, eyes wide with terror mixed with craze? “Hrókr! He wouldn't want you torturing this poor canary! Even if it meant creating new animals!”

The crow, which everyone knew as Hrókr flew forwards, making a clicking noise out of anger. “Get out of my forest, or you will never see the light of day- staying in the cave on the far end of the forest for the rest of your life” They croaked, “Don't bring Cernunnos into this” They quickly added before angrily flying off, still clicking.

Legend has it that Hrókr was still flying around, watching all of his creations live peacefully while he stayed angry at the world, and storms came on the days he cried over losing his friends and family, still creating life without his knowledge.
