Over the past 3 months I was getting back on track with my goals. Particularly in the last month, I realised I needed to be a bit more accountable with my goals so that meant getting caught up with my TBR Zero challenge videos on YouTube.
Making the videos are the best way I keep myself accountable because I have to admit to the whole internet when I break my buying ban.
I also started a new challenge where I am reading books I bought in 2020. It's called Read it or Weed it TBR VETS. I read books that I have owned for 5+ years and this challenge has been a great way for me to get through some books I usually ignore in favour of newer purchases. I have found a few new favourites along the way and that has made me very happy.
I have been thinking about finances quite a bit recently as we started looking to buy a house and I looked at all the unread books on my shelf and said "how much money have a wasted that I could have added to my down-payment fund??" definitely a wake-up call for me that having so many unread books is potentially throwing money down the drain that I could have used better.
Goals: Get caught up with YouTube posting. Try to include financial tracking into TBR Zero in some way. Keep going with Read it or Weed it. I am "currently reading" 16 books and I'd like to finish some of the ones I have been putting on pause. Ideally I'd like that number to half itself and go down to 8 or lower.
What are your reflections and goals for the rest of 2025?
