3. A book that relates to a river - upvote: always yes! I love rivers and anything related to rivers. My choir is doing three songs about rivers this weekend. :)
5. A book that has been made into a movie - upvote: fun!
8. A book featuring a lawyer, politician or clergyman - downvote: really not interested
9. A book with a character list or family tree. - downvote: not interested at all. If this one gets in, I will either accidentally find one or use a wild card.
11. A history or historical fiction book - upvote: always a yes as it is one of my very favorite genres.
13. A book set in an Olympics host city - downvote: too limiting
15. A biography, memoir, or autofiction - upvote: love this genre

Neutral or downvote - movies, family trees, numerals, cats. My dogs would get jealous if I had cat pictures laying around. 🐶

That seems to be the perception every time we get this type of prompt, but I can't find..."
I think it's a problem for people who do PopSugar as well as ATY. PopSugar has used a movie/tv related prompt in 2018,2019, 2022 and 2023, so with the 2019 ATY prompt that makes 5 times that it's been used in 8 years

Exactly- we've not used it for years! I love it cause I like to read books before I see the movie.
I wonder if it was widened if people might like it more. Maybe a book related to a movie or tv show? So you could read Project Hail Mary before it comes out, but you can also read Edith Wharton for the Gilded Age

Me too! As well as ATY and PopSugar, I think the SRC has had at least two "movie and TV" prompts this last two seasons, and frequently before that.
At least I have a good selection of novels in series that have been made into TV - Shetland, Vera, Midsomer Murders, Longmire, Leaphorn and Chee, Three Pines, Will Trent, Harry Bosch and oldies like Maigret and Lord Peter Wimsey etc. Fewer movies, though.

Yeah, you did! I deleted one! Thank you- I would have caught it but I only run the names duplicate check once or twice!
Also, I had to remove 3 other votes because people voted 9 times. They've all been contacted to revote, but a reminder to other people-- you get 8 votes total!!

Thank you Carol. That reminds me of a mystery with a female minister.
