I am thrilled to introduce my first publication: The First Scar. It is a collection of traditional verse reminiscent of the Romantic Era of poetry. This work questions both natural and spiritual aspects of the world; the properties of human belief and those of physical fact often clash, and this confusion may send one into deep confusion, anxiety, and hopelessness. The lines herein attempt to confront these feelings with language used in the fashion of Wordsworth, Keats, Shelley, and those of long before. Largely written over a 4-year period of particular personal tumult, these works record my attempt at understanding the human condition and the chaotic, rapidly-changing world around me.
I greatly appreciate your potential interest in this labor of mine, and I genuinely hope you derive knowledge, truth, and your own questions through its reading.
