I've always thought of Dracula, Vampyre etc.. as very imaginative "horror" literature... castles, dungeons, cemeteries, headstones, perhaps catacombs, abominable secrets kept for generations, sleepwalking damsels, walking dead in black or white robes, bloody canine teeth, and dark night meanderings, lightning and thunder, with screeching, screams and moans, and frightened villagers... Yes, that is good ol' Gothic. Always a favorite.
Received another, another, and another 5 STAR review...
"..... (reading) *ANIMAL FUTURE* by Robert & Darrin McGraw ...big payoff. Man oh man! Absolutely love it. Crazy about it. May have to start an Animal Future cult or something. I was cuddled with my nexus, and stayed up way past my bedtime, and haven't enjoyed myself that much in a long time. I mean.....MAN!"

The book:
GENRE: Sci-fi/ Adventure/Thriller/Humorous (Yes, all that)
*ANIMAL FUTURE*, #1 in new series, a creative collaboration of Robert and Darrin McGraw, both avid readers and maverick, experienced writers.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This story starts with a bang, and ends with a shoot ’em up bang, bang! Then all is satisfyingly wrapped up in the epilogue. These authors, Robert and Darrin McGraw, are intelligent, extremely competent writers, who trust their readers to catch on. I LOVE IT!
One of the world literature's most famous opening sentences, “Call me Ishmael”, will be replaced by my now favorite opening sentence, “Wrapped only in a towel, Autumn Winn fired a pistol at her new underwear.” The first sentence grabbed me like a wrapsnake. The story is such a hilarious fictional farce, yet the characters, both Provies and Sapiens, are so well developed that I feel I know them. I want to know them! It didn’t matter that I had no idea what TefPlas glass, a wrapsnake, ViewGlazzes, Pawsalls, or Cerebo-Mitts are, because they all fit so well in ANIMAL FUTURE, and I nearly died of laughter at their revealing. Note - I want a COR wristband with its quantum computer capabilities.
The Kindle Location 10 (copyright page) states, “This book is fiction. All names, places, characters, corporations, government entities, and incidents are the products of the imaginations of the authors and are used fictitiously. Any resemblance to actual events, places, locales, or persons, whether living or dead, is purely coincidental.” Read the book then try to read this with a straight face.
The authors' bios are very impressive. Their book, ANIMAL FUTURE, is very impressive, and massively entertaining. Awesome, beyond awesome read! Big fan here (me).

--..very cleverly plotted ... written with humor and imagination.

Author BIOs:
Robert McGraw has had several professions, but his most difficult job is convincing his wife he’s actually working even when he’s just staring out the window. He is the author of numerous magazine and newspaper articles, as well as three books. Two of his television scripts won awards from the International Television Association.
A former professional symphony musician who spent several years playing for the Cape Town Symphony in South Africa, Robert has a Master’s degree in Education and completed the work (all but dissertation) for a Ph.D. in music. He also studied art at The Ruth Prowse School of Art in Cape Town and creates visual art in a variety of styles. His works are represented in the collection of the International Museum of Collage, Assemblage and Construction in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
------------
Darrin McGraw grew up more or less in a succession of libraries. He is pleased to note that the New York Public Library has a McGraw Rotunda, though he cannot actually take credit for this. He graduated from Stanford University and earned a Ph.D. in English from UCLA. After working in online software development he served for eight years as the writing director of the Culture, Art and Technology program at UC San Diego.
Besides writing and reading he has many other interests including early music, alternative architecture, and woodworking. When scientists have finished cloning the woolly mammoth he has a few other extinct species to suggest, including Cleopatra and Dr. Samuel Johnson.
