Haven't finished it yet, but the most well-written overview of history I've ever read, I feel. Quite a feat as it's been translated from the original Hebrew.

It's an interesting book. There is a huge amount of human history that we know virtually nothing about. Enjoying it so far.

I'm impressed with how well written it is. Interesting without being dry.

Gotta say it lost it for me a little toward the end, though.

Sapiens is a great book - really well written and quite easy to read and understand. I just finished another book called 'The Secret of our Success', which looks at similar topics, particularly the idea of cultural evolution. I highly recommend it:

It is more detailed than Sapiens and it is written from scientific perspective (the author is an evolutionary biologist) so it might not be everybody's cup of tea.
