Goodreads Authors/Readers discussion

Good afternoon.

I've popped on here on and off, sharing anything from my latest book to my latest blog.

Like a lot of you here, I am sure that that you have dreamed that you could write to pay your bills (and take an occasional vacation or two). The ability to create stories out of the air to entertain is a blessing. However, as I am sure a lot of you have found out it is also very difficult to get folks to check out your work. I have written 4 books, and while you have friends say kind things (even if they are only being kind), getting everyday folks to spend their time (and their money) on your work can be a female dog (trying not to disrespect the ladies who may be reading this).

Anywho, I decided to share something with you folks. As that a lot of self-published writers just post about their work and dash, I wanted to at least try to participate in the community by showing off one of my ideas. It was an idea that popped in my head that wasn't big enough for a full-length book, but thought it would be a nice quick read. Of course, if you like what I wrote, I would appreciate it to not only share it with fellow readers and writers, but also (possibly) check out my published works. Each one reflect the different genres I am interested in, and my latest book, 90 THINGS THAT IRRITATE THE SH** OUT OF ME...OR AT LEAST MAKE ME FROWN is sort of a "get to know me in a twisted way" sort of book.

I got three copies of this ad in my wrappup. Does anyone know why that happened? Perhaps it was updated twice after the first post?
