Are witch hunters more likely to just flat out kill a witch, or is there more ritual to it, like the Salem witch trials?

These days it is less ritual and more sport. Killing Witches is like a game to them. along with purifying the Earth they get to kill Satan's bitches haha...Some hunters have been known to capture, beat, and treat cruelly to the extent of even rape ebfore releasing then hunting again for the love of the sport.

@ Fiend, If they don't believe in Witches even with one in the family then they are not given the honor of being a Guardian.

@nightshade, finish the character then request the occupation. It is far more preferred. A lot less confusing

If someone was a shapeshifter, could that include other immortal beings?

And what is the difference between memory, mental, and empathetic manipulation?

Does killing witch hunters make a witch a wraith?

@ Julia, here in The Witches of Grievance Ridge you will find that a shapeshifter is in fact a gifted Witch. The only immortal beings are those cursed with Immortality. For Witches immortality is a curse. It is one thing to live a very long time, but an entirely different thing to live forever. Sleepwalkers and Familiars are the only creatures known to hold immortality here. As far as your question goes I hope that clears things up as it didn't make very much sense to me to begin with. Perhaps a further elaboration should this not answer things for you.

Manipulations
Memory - The power to control memories. (Mnemokinesis)
Mental - The power to manipulate thoughts, mindsets, and upper brain functions of others. (Cerebrokinesis) This allows memories to be suppressed rather than manipulated. It can make others unconscious and possibly negate abilities, make others agreeable, and grant mental disorders.

Empathetic - There is no such form of manipulations unless referring to Empathetic Water or Empathetic Earth manipulation. Or if you are referring to Empathy - The power to fully interpret and replicate the emotions, moods, and temperaments of others.

An Empathy Link is an entirely different concept. Empathy links are emotional bonds between two or more beings who can share emotions with one another or sense one anothers emotional stance.

@nightshade, No, a Witch, upon their own Ascension, must kill another Witch who has already Ascended in order to become a Wraith. It is this act that propels their powers into more controllable manifestations and unlocks new abilities with a far darker twist. A Witch, already Ascended, who has killed an Ascended Witch may only become a Wraith if they perform a ritual willingly taking a life and absorbing its soul energy so that they may Ascend a second time as a Wraith.

Could I make a character that was Lucifer's daughter? I mean she wasn't lik raised in hell or anything but I would say her mother really wanted a child so she tried to perform a spell but it went to the wrong deity and yeah?

That's entirely fine by me. I can see it happening. She does a spell and ends up selling herself to Lucifer to bare hima child by accident simply thinking it was a white magic fertility spell only to have it be a black magic satan offspring spell or however you imagine it lol...fine by me.

hi there :) can you explaine to me how this group works?

The group is a roleplay you make a character following character guidelines and get your charrie approved then you rp. If you are new to rp i do not reccomend this group to you. It is advanced and we have high expectations. But of course they are not so high no one can meet them. However i do urge you to read into it more and follow some threads before beginning.

What's the current date in the RP if you had to guess?

Any chance it could be a day or two passed may the 21st? I'm having her being a Gemini, and I wanted her ascension to have scared/pushed her into looking more into the stuff she can do instead of trying to keep it submerged. So if it were after her birthday a few days (which can be the 21st of may at the earliest), it'd fit up time line perfect for that situation. But if not, I can have her pushed it off for like a year. It doesn't matter, really, I'll just need to know so I can do her history better :).

I'm just wanting to double check: powers aren't seen until, at the earliest usually, the age of 11, right? In most cases, it's the basic powers as well all witches have; however, there are cases where a witch can start showing their stronger individualized powers prior to ascension still, yeah? I'm pretty sure the info said all of this in a bit of a different format, but I just wanted to dot my i's and cross my t's before just jumpin' into what I think is right :).

Is there an official Hunter symbol? Like I know you used this for Mikah but is that a hunter thing or a Mikah thing?

Mikah was branded with the live and dead serpents: Leading a team of sixteen Purity Hunters they met a Coven of no more than thirty members. They were outnumbered and outsmarted. Everyone of his team was slaughtered. All died but him. Mikah was tied and gagged and a ritual was performed upon him. The Curse of Asmodeus was performed as it was only performed for the fact that he cunningly persuaded them to spare him, but they were not going to do so without a price. For Witches everything had a price. He informed the RPHL that they spared him through his cunning words and he was marked with the live serpent and again with a dead one to signify the loss that was made when his life was spared by the impure.

You mentioned in the powers thread that all witches have a low field of telapathy that allows them to communicate silently with one another. Does this mean that all witches will be able to read any other witches' thoughts? Or is it one of those things that has to be a two way thing, as in each witch has to 'let' the other in? Is there a way to make it so that other witches can't just snoop around in their minds? Or will it be like anything I write my character to think or feel will be able to be shot back at the character?

It's not like mind reading but more of mental conversations. So not seeing the other thoughts, just what the other witch is 'saying' to them.

That makes sense...I think what has me a bit thrown is when I was reading some of the posts from characters in a small attempt to try and catch up (near impossible, I swear! There are sooo many posts lol) because of something that happened. It was, actually, one of yours and sea fiends' interactions. It was whenever her character had the 'thought' that she needed to 'put on a show' and your character mentioned that she didn't need to put on a show. It had me a bit worried that any and everything I had in my posts would be 'known' by the other characters even if it wasn't meant to be. Was this particular interaction just because it was your seer, and she just has this innate way of picking up on all that jazz? Or is it sorta a common for anything to be pulled from a post and replied to because of magic being used to sense it?

Only because that character has the ability to do it. It's a specific power of hers kind of with the Seer thing. So it's not a common thing, just her since her power. I try not to OP her but it's harddddd lol

Ah...okay. Yeah, that's one thing that worries me about powers like that. They are super overpowered if not handled well. It almost ruins the fun in it all. Anywho, thanks for your input on it.

KT you know you need only ask and a MoD position is available to you always. You are a valued friend on goodreads in many groups we have shared memberships with. You are excellent at advising and you know I will turn to you when I feel like a stick in the mud from writer's block.

Kt has managed quite well to not OP her characters. Kali simply holds unique gifts to her and her personality in how she acts with certain characters helps hold a lot of that OP feeling back.
