Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9485 comments I thought to respond to Ann's comment I should continue this here so I moved her post over from the October reads topic.

Ann:
The links to add a book above this GR comment window are pretty nutty sometimes!! The newer books are the worst as the search engine appears to look at hits rather than recent dates of publication or revelance. It would also help if the numbers after the title were not so obscure so we could just type in a book and add them or limit the results to only one edition or language of each book.

Carol/Bonadie wrote: "I've given up on GR's search feature -- the choices for The Professional were laughable -- so no links, sorry.

I would be happy to get relevant books to choose from, even though having to go through 797 screens of Robert B. Parker books can be daunting. But why, when I search for The Professional, do I get books that don't have "professional" anywhere in the title? What am I doing wrong?

Ann (annrumsey) | 16930 comments Well Carol, with Melodie's astute help we now know that combining the title and author name in the one search box to add book/author results in much cleaner targeted search results. This is a huge help! I love smart search engines!
