I was really disappointed. It sort of read like a rambling thesis and not a particularly interesting one. This is the start of the Canongate Mythos series and I really thought I'd enjoy this more. I love myths, legends, and fairy tales and have enjoyed many other essays and such on the topic but this just didn't appeal to me.
